Fleas I was using Frontline and Cocoa still got fleas and now I'm using Advantix and I noticed a flea the other day and he scratches a lot. How do you get rid of fleas completely? Is it normal to see an occassional flea? |

I am now having the same problem. Just found one on Winstin. I am using the Advantage Multi and I am wondering if this is normal. I hope someone can help us both. |
It can take a couple of days for the flea medicine to work. You might have to treat your home, and the area that they go potty in. |
No you should not see fleas at all on your pet. Fontline is pretty good stuff too. You may have to treat your home. Does all your animals have flea control? |

Bathe her with dawn dishsoap that will kill the fleas |
put some apple cider vinger the natural stuff in there water, it kills them...I have a huge water bowl so I just put less than a cap full, you have to dilute it pretty good or they may not drink it...:) |
I have my lawn treated by Scotts lawn service and part of the package includes an insecticide... just happens to be the same formula as advantage. It dries quickly in the florida sun however, I don't let her out for 2 or 3 hrs. i like the vinegar idea! |
I use revolution and bathe aubrey in minksheen, no fleas on him for a long time. And I use the same thing on dakota except bathe her in huggies baby shampoo. |
the flea meds work by killing fleas once they get on your dog - usually within a few hours. If all of your pets are not treated, one of them could have fleas and a flea might have gotten on her. Or if your dog was exposed to an environment that had fleas, such as going outside, she might have picked up a flea and the flea meds just haven't killed it yet. Unfortunately there are not any products that repel fleas from your dog...so fleas can still get on and bite before the flea meds kill them. The good thing about the flea meds though is it kills the flea before it can lay eggs so that they aren't able to reproduce. |
