AKC toys made in CHINA!!! MISLEADING PACKAGING--BEWARE!
 
I ran out to petsmart and petco to buy toys for Max for his birthday today and I specifically looked to make sure that they were not made in china. The packaging on the AKC stuffed toys says 'made in the USA' so I bought a beaver for Max. When I got home and started cutting off the tags, the tag ON THE TOY says 'made in China!' :mad: :mad: :mad: WTF??? Is the PACKAGING made in the USA and the toy isn't??? That is so misleading! So Max is stuck with a horrible "variety" of toys for his birthday :( . I bought him a booda rope bone (made in mexico) and a blue prince nylabone wishbone, which I HATE buying because I'm afraid that he's going to eat the non-edible nylabone. So now Max and Abbie only have crappy toys :( :( :(

That is really misleading! It sounds as if they are playing off people's concerns with toys made from China!!! I can't believe that! :thumbdown

I did the same thing.Once I got it home I saw the made in china so it is going back!!

Awe Im sorry about that! I would march right back to Petsmart and demand my money back though!

I would still bring it back with the reciept, Petsmart should be made aware that the product they are selling is misleading.

I would take it back to. I have already taken toys back to WalMart that our furbabies got from their bday party that was put back because we got many duplicates from family. As long as you have the receipt it would be going back. I am sure they will understand.

it might of been made in the USA, but manufactured in China, i'm having a hell of a time finding Baby toys, everything in made in China, don't know what i'm going to do for Christmas..... were at the mercy of China .....

Im not sure how your baby can get sick off a plush toy made in China..I thought it was just the vinyl ones that were being questioned or the paint or something..I dont think EVERYTHING made in China is under investigation...otherwise our houses would be pretty empty lol..

there is alot more products out there and different reasons, and from different places added daily to the recall list it's scary i check it everyday, go to www.recalls.gov - theres so many of them... from food we eat, to what are babies eat, to what our pets eat.. clothes, toys it's never ending..

Imagine if we didnt have computers...we wouldnt know about 1/2 the recalls..although I see lots of them are voluntary and in that case they dont even have to tell the consumer about it...Id rather not look..if Im going to die from vinyl painting poisoning thats going to be my fate LOL...

like my mother told me all three of us kids, slept in a lead base painted crib, plus the water we drink could have lead in it from the old pipes and we all survived.. but with my kid i want to be a little bit more carefull of the things i buy him, but your right if it's my fate -it shall be,,, if i threw out everything in my house made from China, it would be almost everything,, i did go thru the baby stuff and the dog food and toys... but that's all im doing....

I know that Beau's birthday is coming up and I've been looking for clothes, toys, treats, etc. for him and for his gift bags but there just isn't anything out there! :( I\'ll have to give him a big bag of dog food or something?! Ha ha. Christmas isn\'t going to be much fun for our furbabies and our skin ones! I bet if someone on here started making dog toys they would make a fortune!! When is this going to stop? :mad:
