Human Food I need to get my baby off the science diet i believe he has an allergy to it. he has patches where there is no hair. the vet said he is losing undercoat and ive talked to a few people that said yorkies only have a single coat. and never heard of my problem im having. he has dry skin and itchy. im going to switch his foods but i wont have money until the weekend or start of next week. soo... i was wondering what human foods can i feed him? i know boiled chicken is good.. thanks for any replies! |
Chicken, Rice, Veggies, Apples, Cottage Cheese, yogurt non-fat plain |
thanks!!! i'm actually cooking some chicken and rice now for myself. can he have a little of that?? i didnt season it much.. just a little for flavor |
To be safe for the long term, no seasoning at all. If you begin homecooking, it is usually preferred to boil the chicken. Fresh, steamed veggies (no butter or anything) are also very good, along with sweet potato (sliced and steamed) and rice. What your vet said is very confusing as Yorkies do not have an undercoat - and they have hair not fur...... |
i know im confused about the vet too.. i think its an allergy to this food and i just looked at some treats i was giving i stopped though. they were Canine Carry Outs from walmart they have wheat and corn too.. so i think its food allergy |
Does the Science Diet you're feeding have chicken in it? Bc if it does, and he has a food allergy to it, it could very well get worse. You might want to think about a more pure meat like duck, venison, fish, or rabbit. |
