Louie is acting so unusual!! Ok, so I definately have to describe Louie as the "perfect dog".....he is just so mellow and laid back.....very rarely "begs" for things and is just all around good....well, today he had some really loose poops which I attributed to switching food brands....and he just chowed down a little while ago a good amount of his new dog food....well, I made a roast tonight for the family, and he was just in the kitchen all by himself whinning....when I went in there he was staring up at the stove where the roast was and licking his chops like he really really wanted some of what he was smelling! He NEVER does this and is just acting so hungry so I gave him some more of his chicken drummette dinner from evangers and cut up some really fine fine peices of meat and put it in there.....do you think that is alright? I even rinsed it under water before I gave it to him so he would not get any of the spices that I used.....but this "hunger" of his is just so unusual???? |
I just needed to bump this up |
I think maybe he just misses the satisfying feeling of his old food.... Or maybe hes just smart and knows that Mom's a good cook! Roast is better than Dog Food! My baby eats half human food and half dog food. I put a little chicken or something on top of her dry food. She eats the human food right away and comes back for the dog food when she realizes she didnt get enough to eat. Im sure its fine. He'll love you more for it. |
Yeah it's fine. You have to remember that dogs are dogs. They have the carnivorous behavoir. I would be licking my chops if I smelled roast! haha.:D I say it's cool to have it, but once you do, it must be kept up, or Louie will expect his momma to make him something special constantly. Do bring in a habit if you're not willing or don't have time to keep up. I feel bad for my baby, my mom was cooking some beef, and Daisy was all over the place. But she's only a puppy... =) Silly girl. once again, it's your choice, go with your gut feeling, or just call up your vet. :animal36 |
