Teething???
 

Hi all...Maximus has been very clingy for the last week..I took him to work with me on Monday and since my bf had to go to the doctor yesterday he dropped him off at work with me again yesterday...the thing is Maximus doesn't only want to be in the same room with me he wants to be on top of me...yesterday he didn't want to eat his food for fear I would get up???..he would take a piece out and come back to me to pick him up..he would chew then squirm to get down get another piece..etc., etc.,..last night when we got home..he went to say hi to my bf and then immediately wanted to lay on my stomach..no playing or anything..he justed wanted to cuddle..he ate dinner the same way as lunch..so I called the vet last night and he said that as long as he is eating and he doesn't seem uncomortable it could just be that he is tired, teething and the hot weather oculd of just tired him out more easily...so fine this morning he woke me up at 5:48 went to poop, I cleaned it up and went to lay back down..at which time I usually see the ears jumping over the side of my bed because it's playtime..well he just cried to get picked up and then curled in my armpit and went back to sleep ..THE DAY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR...and I couldn't go back to sleep because now I am worried..so I let him sleep and I wake him up at 6:30 so that I can get ready for work..we go through the same food episode for breakfast and when he is done he curls up on my lap and goes back to sleep..it's is now 7:30 and I have to go in the shower so I bring his bed in and I go in..and he is okay..but as soon as I get out he again wants to be held..he keep sitting in front of me to pick him up..I go to the living room and sit with him for 20 minutes before i have to leave...and again he falls asleep..is this normal?..I got nervous..my bf is usually home with him on weds..but he had to go to work for an hour this morning..but now he said that he is sleeping in my comforter..do you think this is normal behavior?..does he have some sort of seperation anxiety?..he is only alone for maybe 18-20 hours the whole week (3 days a week for 6 hrs. a day broken up from 9-12 and then 1-4)..or can it just be teething..I am getting worried and I am considering going to the vet tonight..but I don't want to stress him out if this is normal..because as soon as he sees the vet he goes a little loco

this is strange though. how old is he again? has he been drinking water?

He is almost 4-1/2 months old..but it seems strange since he is usually such a trouble maker..he-he, I took him to the park this weekend and he played with some other dogs on his walk on Monday after work..BUT he is on frontline and up to date on all his shots so I don't know what could be the problem..I immediately thought ear infection because of the symptoms but his ears look fine and hairless (just got them plucked a couple of days ago)..he is drinking water and he is eating (just strangely)..plpus it is not hot in my house..the a/c is always on and he even has pj's on when he;s in the house so he doesn't get cold because Lord knows I do

that is strange .... i just wish they can talk and tell us whats going on ... what in the world is going on in there lil heads??? take him to the vet if u have doubts... it cant hurt well maybe ur wallet.... :-\ do u have health insurance?

I have pet insurance ...but only for emergencies..like surgeries and what not..I think it's called VPI..but I think I will take him to the vet anyways tonight..I rather pay 40 bucks for the vet visit and all is okay then to wait and then pay $300 late tonight when the anxiety kills me..lol

My Zack is 4 months old and quite a handful. He's into everything and doesn't stop until bedtime. I've noticed lately that he is becoming more of a lap dog (never thought that would happen!) and wants to be near me (or on top of me like you said) all the time! In the morning, he sleeps on my neck. I think he's becoming clingy too.

Any pet psychologists here?

My bf just called me he said by Maximus' 2 front teeth his gums look slightly purple...what is that????

Poor baby!!!!! I wish I could help but I don't have a clue! I am sending tons of hugs his way though. Bless his little heart!

dont u just hate that when the vet isnt avail. i get so mad....

No drool..bf said it's like 4 spots of purle on his gums...like he dug into a jelly donut and forgot to lick 4-5 specks off....well the vet gets out of syrgery this afternoon and the girl said he can go in at 4 so he is going....
Lily....Maximus LOVES you..he-he, I printed him out a blow-out of Lily when he was at work with me..and I taped into the cubby (that I put his blanket in for him to sleep with)..so he could sleep looking at his girlfriend..he must have licked the picture like 1000 times

You and me both..sometimes he makes a little crying noise..and I am just like "what's wrong baby?" and he looks at me like he's trying to tell me..call me crazy..but I feel like he is trying to communicate sometimes...lol..he even did what looked like a Chanel and Cheri smile the other day...of course didn't have the camera handy :(

Hi all...my bf went to the vet yesterday with Maximus and he said everything seems okay with Maximus..he can't see anything wrong...as far as his gums by the time my bf got there they were no longer with any purple on them...so the vet said his temperature is fine..he is probably just teething..well last night I spent the whole night giving Maximus attention and playing with him till I wore him out and he was LIKE LEAVE ME ALONE..he finally decided that it WAS okay to be away from Mommy...but this morning he had diarheea (sp)...he is eating and drinking fine ..so I told my bf to watch him today and if anything..I am going back to the vet tonight. I am glad that he is at least running around..and I hope the diarhea is just from getting too many treats from mommy last night :)..Thanks all for your support and thought..and Lily...do you wear bows by any chance???

Great news!!! So glad Maximus got a clean bill of health from the vet! Yes, Lily does wears bows. It is so hard for me to get any good pics to put on YT,
she is such a little speed demon. I am going to try though, she got some pretty new clothes we want to show off.

if the diaharea continues u can give him some Kaopectate. a small dosage,u will have to consult ur vet. arent they the darnest things they show all the symptoms at home but once u go to the vet no sign of a problem and the vet looks at u like ur crazy.!!!!

I know..my bf said that the vet was looking at him like..this is what was an emergency???..but hey..he gets paid for the time and I know that Maximus is okay..so that is all that matters..even if the vet thinks I am paranoid...and Wiwweee..mommy bwought me tome manwee bows and she also bwought 2 bwows for Wiwweee so that she can wook so pwetty for her pwictures...she wanted to make swure..that Wilwee was awwowed to wear them..she should be gweeting them toon (they swipped)..and then she will gwet your addwess so she can tend them to Wiwwee as a pwesent from her bwoyfwiend
