apollo has the orange dinosaur, thx for the info |
Can someone post a picture of the green monster? I threw all of our rubber toys away last week so of course i have NO PROOF! |
Nevermind I found a picture. I think it is the same line as the yellow alien we had. I would NEVER buy a toy at Walmart but of course someone gave it to him as a gift and he loved it. I should have known better, but it was just a stupid yellow squeaky toy! And of course it was Loki's favorite thing to chew on when he was teething. |
OMG!!!! we have that!!! it's usually just the boxer that plays with it tho..it's going in the TRASH when i get home! So are all toys from china going to be recalled including plush ones?? we really don't have any rubber ones.. |
I became weary of things made in china the minute all these recalls came up. We already know that outsourcing production to other countries is a problem, especially when it comes to paying high prices for low quality stuff and when the quality of the product is excellent there comes the problem of the working earning pennies on the dollar. Companies usually outsource because a the wages expense can my cut down dramatically or they can dodge strict quality control laws place in the U. S or both. I always try to make sure i buy products made in the USA when i can for those reason. All it takes its a little time to check the label. Even in here, Yes you can get some of the products offered at a cheap price but its really nice to know that your product was made with love and care and safety, let alone you get pampered with excellent customer service. Buying what you can locally will not only boost the economy but boost the economy by allowing us produce more here , it gives up the opportunity to actually export that good quality stuff rather than importing the crap we get knowing its flawed cause someone turned a blind eye to quality. who needs the extra worry |
wow that's crazy. I never buy latex/rubber toys because Pepper hates them anyway - only plush ones. If I had any, I'd get rid of them instantly!! |
Wow, we're lucky .... I had not bought any of those yet. I'd hate to take away thier toys. |

I've decided to just throw everything that says made in china away, its only a matter of time before it comes here. |
Quick question, what are the rest of you doing about the ones that don't say where they were made? |
Thank you for posting this. Sophie has the green monster and a purple one. I have even posted pics of her playing with it. I am going to throw them both away. :( |
i said this before on YT, i threw everything away for my baby and furbabies that were made in China,,,,, throw them all away,, only buy from the US. it's hard the more i've been looking at items, it's almost like everything comes from China, i swear there trying to kill us ..... |
I just spoke to my friend Ryan O'Meara who is the editor and cheif of K9 magazine, he says that on the advise of his contact its best to throw away all toys made in china. |
Thanks for the heads up. We don't have any of those toys, but I will be extra careful to be sure nothing I buy for her is coming from China. Scary! :thumbdown |
Wow, that's insane!! No more latex or rubber toys for us too...Zoe's fav is that red soccer ball from Petco |
Cut tags off of toys..from China or not??Do you have these toy? We don't let our girls play with the rubber toys so they don't have any. We have 1.wubba toy 2. small stuffed elephant, rhino and giraffee from Walmart 3. lobster, octopus and whale from Target 4. Hide a squirrel, 5. small leapard stuffed bones from PetSMart 6. Pink stuffed dog with squeaker and crinkle legs from PetSmart They have a plush soccer ball. I bought an extra and just pulled it out and it is made in china. Taking it back to the store. I still have the tags on it. GEEZZZ! Just checked out their toys for Halloween and thank goodness they are made in the US. They also have some other stuffed toys from PetEdge..I think I am just tossing them out anyway. We cut all tags from toys because they chew on the tags and we are afraid they will come off and they will choke on them. No more toys from China in our home. This is just crazy. |

You know the hide a squirell is made in china too.. where does it end? |
My baby has this toy. I just threw it in the trash! |
OH NO!!!! Green monster is our favorite toy ever!!! The boys play tug of war with it and hide it from each other all the time. I guess they won't anymore. |
I'm thinking the plush toys are OK. At least the loofa and the higher end ones. The Zanies ones never seem to last very long anyway so those aren't a huge sacrifice. All of these issues have to do with paint. |
Seems like we are just being killed off slowly by different countries. Do they use this stuff in their own countries? |
well i really want to know if the plush stuffed toys are ok??like this?? http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...amily&keepsr=1 and ohters? |

 I am outraged at this! I have just bought Lily this exact toy. It has been one of her favorites. :( Should I be worried? Should I take her to the vet? I am just so angry at this right now,I don't know what to say. Thank you so much for passing this information along. |

Ughhh.. Anything that has to do with lead poisoning annoys me.. I mean they are recalling all these toys for a good reason but havent you ever thought there are other ways of getting it that hit closer to home? Just a warning and I know this because it happened to me twice.. You CAN get lead poisoning if you drink tap water.. If you live in a newer house or have had you water pipe going into the house replaced then you are fine but like my house we have a lead pipe!.. I got lead poisoning twice when I was younger.. The city wouldn't let US replace it.. It was on our property but it was their responsibility.. SO we could either wait for them to get around to it.. or pay 900 to get it done by them now.. Well guess what that was 10+ years ago I am fifteen and it still hasnt been done.. They ran out of funds and wouldn't let my grandfathers plumbing company do it.. So everyone check to make sure you dont have a lead pipe! |
I do not know if we are safe with USA made things - many of them made out of materials imported from China. I give up. Plush toys maybe toxic also. I sew a lot and some fabrics stain hands and my sewing machine. I have to wash them before sewing but who will do that at a factory? They just use it. And where is guarantee that washing makes it safe? Oh my :( Anyway I will wash all my furbaby's toys right now! |
I can't see where shes ate any of it or theres any paint missing,so she sould be ok. I am keeping the toy( well out of Lilys reach of course ), as well as printing out the lead/toxins info. and going to my local wal mart tomorrow to see if they are still selling these and inform them of what I have found out. |
Our girls favorite toys, give em my t shirt after I take it off, I tie it in a knot, DollieDae will work on it till she gets it untied, a long time :) tie my socks together and throw them to Baby Blessing and she does the same thing. Also give em Jack's t shirt and socks and they have a great time untying them, never do they destroy our things, think it is our scent that keeps them happy :) :) I also make their soft toys so they are only stuffed with cotton fabric, so far they haven't tore them up and they play with them for hours at a time. I watch for the department stores sales on infant small stuffed toys, are made in the states. Patti and Jack and Girls |
