I've loved this for THREE years and still get tickled reading it...wanted to share it for those new to yorkies so they UNDERSTAND the rules in the house and there's no question as to who is boss !

Yorkie Property Laws
If I like it, it is mine.
If it is in my mouth, it is mine
If I can take it from you, it is mine.
If I had it a little while ago, It is mine.
If it is mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
If I'm chewing something up, all of the pieces are mine.
If it just looks like mine, it is mine.
If I saw it first, it is mine.
If you are playing with something and put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
If it is broken, it is yours

Yorkie House Rules

The dog is not allowed in the house.
OK, the dog is allowed in the house but only in certain rooms.
The dog is allowed in all rooms, but must stay off the furniture.
The dog can get on old furniture only.
Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture but is not allowed to sleep in the bed with the humans.
OK, the dog is allowed on the bed, but by invitation only.
The dog can sleep on the bed anytime it wants, but not under the covers.
The dog can sleep under the covers, but by invitation only.
The dog can sleep under the covers every night.
Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog.

Yorkie Pledge

I will not play tug of war with Mommie's panties when she is on the toilet.
The garbage collector is not stealing our stuff
I will not roll my toys behind the fridge.
"Kitty Litter Crunchies" are not food.
I will not eat other dogs poop.
I will not lick human faces after failing pledge #4 or 5.
I will not eat the disposable diapers.
I will not chew on crayons, especially red ones or Mommie will think I'm hemorraging.
We do not have a doorbell and I will not bark everytime I hear one on TV.
I will not bite the officers hand when he reaches for Mommie's driver's license

I just had to post this after watching my girls play at 7am this morning....

Chanel was giving Cheri yet another Toy Lesson....

She was grabbing toys this morning...running up to Cheri and whacking her in the face with them like she was saying...

"See this Squirrel ? It's mine......See this DUCK ? It's mine.......See this blue doggie ? It's mine......See this froggie ? It's mine too !....See my boyfriend Magilla ? He's REALLY mine ! .....Cheri...See these toys in the basket ? Well....They're ALL mine !

Poor little Cheri was just sitting there nodding her head :)

thats too funny ,,, sounds like a riot at your house.... makes me think Bailey needs a brother or sister.... He and the cat are NOT buddies!! (like I had hoped) :(

Rhonda - it's non-stop and I love every minute of it - Chanel was funny as an only kid...but she came into her glory with Cheri - She's really like the big sister - she picks on her and taunts her with toys - squeaking them RIGHT in Cheri's face.... but if Cheri dares to grab the toy - she jumps her ! Then 3 seconds later - they're kissing....I love it :) It's their favorite game now besides spying on the neighbors

lol..its one of my FAVORITES - I have it on my fridge - at my moms....and my computer - I LOVE the Property Laws the best..... then this in the Yorkie Pledge.....I will not chew on crayons, especially red ones or Mommie will think I'm hemorraging.

sounds like real life (oh wait it is lol) i read a book a while ago called old dogs advice for pups or something like that it had like 100 pages of that kind of stuff i loved it now today i'm going to find it and read it again (yea right, afterall we're talking about my room!) lol

That was very cute Villette! They just have the best personalities and its amazing how something so small can control every aspect of our lives! We have 2 fat cats(20lbs each) who have been with us for 2 years longer than Zeus and from the day he stepped into the house, he took over! He saw one of them near his toy box one day and went over to check it out. Apparently one of their toys was in there and he found it, picked it up, and went over and placed it in front of the cat, as if to say, "This was in with my toys. Don't let it happen again!"
