Submissive Yorkie I'm not sure if all Yorkie's are like this but my boy rolls over onto his back all the time! when I yell at him for pee'ing on the carpet, when he meets a new doggie (big or small)...it's odd ! is that typical Yorkie's behavior or are just some yorkie's like that and not others? A woman at the doggie boutique I go to told me the other day that her friend had a submissive yorkie who rolled over in front of a big dog, and the big dog bit her, and killed her!! :confused: :confused: :confused: |
Jewels is really submissive too she always has been. I dont think theres much you can do about it. Its their personality |
My Joey is very submissive, has been since the day i got him, I have worked with him and he sill does it , not as much but he was my rescue baby from a basement where he spent the first 4mths , he had never even been outside untill the day i brought him home:( I know its his personality so i just love him and reasure him of that love:) |
yeah it doesn't bother me at all, but it just was sort of a shock because until lately, he was NOT submissive. It changed within the last month or so (around the 6 month mark) |
I have one of each Bella walks up chest out trying to be dominant, and Diggy rolls over but not to every dog but Id say 90% of the time he does. She tests Bella often but she usually gets him belly up before its all said and done. :D |

I would not be suprised if its not only submission because I think Diggy uses it as a big of a "charm" tool also If he wants a treat or to be held he goes belly up at my feet and digs in the air its so stinkin cute smart lil fur butts!!!! |
My lil guy Benny does this also. He is sooo submissive.....Sometimes we even get the submissive peeing...:rolleyes: Where as, his brother Brody is is nothing like that..... We have chalked it to differ personalities. |
submissive my yorkie, Zoey, is soooooooooo submissive. She rolls onto her back for everything and everyone. Big dogs, people, her little brother, her buddies Bella and diggy....very submissive. |
