Finally decided to spay Penny I couldn't decide if I wanted to wait till she got older, and see if she was a candidate for breeding. Instead after reading all the threads I thought I'd leave it to the experts, because I'd die if something happened to her in child birth. If I need another girl someday I'll just purchase one. Will spaying her calm her down a little? She's only six months old and is such a spaz. I know a lot of it is because of her young age, but I thought people said spaying does help calm them down. |
I felt the same way about my Coco. I would die if anything happened to her and did not want to take the chance with having puppies. I often look at her and think "oh you would have had beautiful babies" but I think you really have to know what you're doing with breeding, research, the sire, breeding lines etc. All too complicated for me lol, I just want to love them. Good luck with her spay. I think they do quieten down a little afterwards, Coco is still boisterous but in a more "grown up" way. |
Aww..I think you've made a good choice. Daisy was spayed at 6 months too...she's still just the same energetic self... Good luck Penny! |
Good luck! Sounds like you've really thought it through. Can't wait to hear if spaying does calm them down. I'll be checking the thread to see the comments! :) |
I'm hoping it does calm her down, because she's very nippy with the other dogs, and it's starting to get out of hand. |
Some people say it will calm them down, some don't. My neighbors dog is spayed, and is crazy as everything. |
