I have the biggest lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, I can't even see to type. I am so very sorry for you and your baby. :( I am so sorry that you couldn't find a YT member to take her before having to relinquish her to a vet and never know what happens to her. Does your vet not have an emergency number so you aould at least talk to him first? I so wish I were close enough to help you... so many prayers for you and your baby Kim |
Im so sorry she didnt go to a YT member. it just was not enough time for all to see the thread. Its sad that you wont know where she may end up but we will all be praying that she gets the operation she needs and the forever loving home that she deserves, you did what you could and that was letting go , so she could get the help she needed. so dont feel bad. you did what was best for her. |

I am so sorry for this trajedy you are going thu? Are you willing to nurse this baby? Maybe your vet will give you a payment pan? My baby is having surgury next month and my vet is being kind enough to put down a deposit the day of surgury and pay the balance in monthly 200.00 intervals. good luck hon.You must be heart broken. |

Maybe someone who has the contact information for Yorkie Rescue could let them know about this situation? Don't they find Yorkies in shelters and such? Wouldn't this count? I know she won't get Zoey back, but at least we will know that Yorkie Rescue has looked into the situation. I would think Zoey could use an advocate right now. I know she did the right thing by surrendering Zoey. Time was essential in this situation. I am however very sad. I will continue to pray for both of them. |
Just now seeing this thread, how sad:( iam so so sorry for you and zoey, I know you had no choice, wish someone could of been there to help you, you are in my thought and prayers. |
Does anyone know what happened?? I wish more YT'ers had a chance to see this....I know someone would have taken her, I have a friend who is a memeber here in NJ and she runs a rescue if she hasent taken her to surrender her, I will call her this morning I just need to know where Zoey is. |
If you can let Yorkie Rescue in that area know, that would be great! The last post she made said she was going to the emergency vet with plans to surrender Zoey to them so that she could get immediate treatment. Hopefully she will post again or let one of us know which emergency vet she took Zoey to. |
Alrighty Im gonna charge my phone for a few minutes then I will try and call her...I pray this baby could find its way into a yT'ers arms. If I just knew the cost of the surgery I would come get her with my sister. She wants another yorkie and would love to rescue...she could care less is she is registered at Target.....just wants to help a baby. Anyone have anyluck on a round about price?? I started looking it all up last night but think I got the info I think my info was on hernia which is what i thought it was like but maybe its not.....If the surgery was like 3-400 dollars we would probably do it. |

Oh this is so heartbreaking! I read the 6 pages hoping it had a happy ending. I'll be checking in all day hoping for news. If only there was something the emergency vet could do just to get that baby through safely till Monday when she could see her vet. |

Update!!!! UPDATE!!! :D Yorkie Rescue Me, an organization in Pennsylvannia is taking her and has made plans for the surgery. Yay! Kim was very happy when I spoke to her, and getting ready for the four hour drive to Pennsylvannia. She asked me to update you since she will be driving all day. They will keep her updated on her progress, so she won't lose all contact. Thank you Paula for her phone number and encouraging me to call her. :thumbup: |
