Please help! I need your thoughts I have a 10month year old yorkie. Well, a week ago a friend of a friend had to get rid of her maltese due to housing reasons, and divorce. Her and cupcake get along fine. But I am now realizing two dogs are alot of work, and Im not attached to the dog like cupcake yet and I am regreting getting her. The dog is cute, nice, potty trained, and she is great. Why am I having this feeling? Will this feeling go away? How long should I give it? |
I think you should give it a little longer. It will be easier and it is better for the dogs if they have someone to play with. You can go off and leave them without worrying that they are home alone. IT will just take a bit to get into the routine of things and get used to it but I am sure things will work out and you will love the Maltese just as much. Just give her a chance. |
i think you need to give it a while i was so againts getting the first one. then i desided he needed a friend so i got a second one that was the best thing i ever did.oh did i mention the second one needed a friend so now i have three. and that is truly the best thing i ever did. you just have to get use of it.and youl get attach just as mush as the first one |
I'm sure that feeling will go away. I would definitely give it more time. Maltese are very sweet babies and with time, you will see how much those two dogs will be attached to each other. How old is the maltese? |
Give it a little more time. You will come to love having two, and if not someone on here would probaly love to take her. |
I agree that you simply need time to bond with this new addition to your family. Years ago, I had a Maltese, and they are the sweetest little dogs. I can't think of a better companion for your little Yorkie Cupcake, other than another one. You've done such a good thing bringing her into your home, and I am sure your friend must have been so relieved her dog was going to someone she trusted. What you are going through is quite natural, don't feel guilty about having those feelings. |
She is 5 years old. She is such a good dog. I feel horrible for feeling this way |
