The mom looks so much like my Sugar would look if I wasn't too lazy to let his coat grow out. Sugar has a soft coat meaning it doesn't feel dry and doesn't mat like a cotton but it's not silky either. Soft coats are usually black and thicher than silks. My understanding is it is fairly common in Brazil. I agree with everyone that your pup is too young to tell but that is my opinion on the mom. Chanel sure is a cutie! |
your baby is too cute and her parents are gorgeous!!! |
She is adorable, Rosi had real cottony coat, and it would matt awful when she was little, the older she got the silkier she became ! |
I don't think your girl will have a cotton coat. Not sure that it will be correct either, but my vote is NO for it being a cotton coat. |

Look at her little posh self! ;) Good taste momma! |
2 Attachment(s) She looks like she'll probably be silky to me! Maddie has a cottony coat, and I put a pic of her as a baby (the first one...sorry it's not that great). Sophie's parents are both silky and I'm positive she will be too...and the second pic is of her (her coat looks a lot like Chanel's). Sophie's hair mats like CRAZY now...I have to put leave-in conditioner on her every day and brush her at least twice a day to keep her from getting knots! She loves to roll around in her bed or on the carpet and get tangles right after I bathe and brush her...lol. But I digress...Chanel is BEAUTIFUL and her hair will probably change to silky as she grows! |
Yorkies hair really unpredictable because I've seen different types of yorkies hair. My furbaby used to be like your baby and after six months my furbaby hair started to change. Your baby is really cute! |
Awww she's precious!! Enjoy her :) :) |
I will wait to see what happens after six months. It doesnt matter which kind of hair she has .I will love her regardless.thanx |
