In the summers, I cut the bangs into a puppy cut. I just hold the hair up with my fingers and cut. I find that comes out more even than laying the hair down and cutting. I hold up little bunches at a time and cut....don't try to do the whole thing at once. It sorta' turns out like a long butch or crew cut. Right now, my girls have long bangs because winter is on the way and I want their hair to grow out some. In the summer, I cut them short all over. Whatever you do, you can't make a yorkie look bad. They are just too cute! I have made a lot of haircut "mistakes" over their nine years and it always looks fine. Sometimes I shave them in the summer and just leave the heads longer, in a puppy cut. |

Bangs - gel ??? Zoey's bangs are getting so long, they won't stay back and she won't wear a barette. She can barely see where she is going. I can't bring myself to cut them. I want her to wear a little bow so bad. I have about 30 of them sitting in a drawer. Someone mentioned doggy hair gel. Does anyone use gel? |
I tried the gel and it works pretty good. You have to reapply as needed. Mindy's blinded by her bangs right now too. I'm not sure if I want her short or long yet. Winters coming so I will keep it longer for now. Good luck!! |
Oh man, after a night's worth of sleep, Beau's bangs look WORSE!! When he woke up this morning I noticed that there is one tuft of REALLY long bangs that I must have missed  . Pretty embarrassing! I'm going to try to trim them up a little tonight, but I'm scared I'm gonna get carried away; you know, the ole both sides aren't even so I'll keep trimming until he has nothing left routine. Ha ha ha. I guess I'll just go with the flow as they say, and leave him and his crooked bangs alone. Leave it to the professionals. ;) |
He's beautimus! |
