I was attacked this morning! Yes, by my darling yorkies! It all started when DH picked up Taz, the insecure one, to love on. Taz in turn growled at JPop, alpha dog, which seems to be a que for TJ, alpha wanna be, to turn on Radar, shyest of them all. When TJ attacked Radar, they were under the bed, JPop tryed to join in. I was trying to keep JPop back away from them while DH was trying to seperate TJ & Radar. JPop tuned on me and bit the @%XX of of my finger. Almost took the tip off! I really don't think he meant to attack ME, I was just there. I really don't know what to do, this seems to be happening more and more. They have all been neutered within the last 6 wks, so far this hasn't made a difference. I have seriously thought about rehoming TJ, but I don't know if I could really go through with it. A word to all considering multi dogs...if I had it all to do over, I wouldn't! I love them all, but I don't know how much more I can take.:( |
im sorry you going threw this mabee you should get a trainer P.s i love have multiple dogs |
So sorry that happened to you. I know that these guys have issues sometimes - both proprietary and dominance. There was a little Yorkie at the dog show Saturday who was fine until his "Mommie" started kissing Kalina. He got so jealous he bit Kalina on the face. I hope you can sort it all out without having to rehome any of them. |
Sorry your going through this. I think you would be best contacting a reputable behaivourist. |

check out the dog whisperer !! Sci Fi channel, or his website.... CEASAR MILAN is an angel !! |
Those issues can be corrected in probably just one day. Not all packs are like that. I'm sure you can get the video on Ceaser Millian's web site on how to correct this behavior without having to rehome TJ. |
I just saw a show over the weekend that pretty much applied, however, its tough to flip one on its side when he's attached to another one! We have litteraly had to pry his (TJ) jaws open to make him let go! Ceasar just makes it look way to easy. He's always so calm when he deciplines the bad dog, and I'm screaming at the top of my lungs! Its just much easier said than done. |
