Does your Yorkie do this? Louie sometimes slides his feet on the carpet or the bed, as if he's about to charge into something lol I havent noticed a pattern but i kno he def does it after he's brushed or a bath but then sometimes he'll jus be on the bed and start sliding his feet like hes trying to get something off them but theres nothing there. |
Are you talking about his back feet? Ours does that after she pottys sometimes and especially after she poops. She also growls a little when she does that. Is that what you mean? We call it the poop dance. Maybe that isn't what you are saying.:aimeeyork |
Wicket does his dance when he comes in with wet feet, he runs to his bed and starts with his back feet both at the same time then moves to his front feet moving both at the same time and for the final it's all four sliding them on his bed with a growl or two for good measure. I guess he doesn't like wet feet.:) :) |
When I went to a training class I learned that they have scent glands on the bottom of their feet and they can leave their scent that way. Mine will sometimes do it after they poo. I always thought they were just trying to cover it up but the trainer said they are leaving their scent. As if the poop was not scent enough. LOL |
when skoshi is in the house and wants attention he will rub his feet on the bed or my leg lol or whatever we are next to so i will pet him lol! its kind of like when you are scratching a cat or a cat to trying to makes its bed and it does that thing with its feet like rubbing them. skoshi does that but not as elegant as a cat lol |
Beau does this too...like most of you said, after he...poops. :p He does this all around the house when he gets a bath too! They're so funny sometimes... I love the little quirks yorkies have! |
Turbo does it after going to the bathroom, has done it since he was a pup. He also does it when he is challenging his big brother. |
Vinnie does all four, and it is like he's getting ready to charge something, and he does it when he plays and also he does it after he poops, almost like cleaning his feet, I love it! It's really cute! |
You wanna hear something funny! LOL.... I take cody out to use the bathroom. and when he is done I bring him in and he gets treat... THEN he does that thing with his back feet like he is covering up his poop. im like silly goose why do you wait to do that til you get inside. you just left the poop out in the yard LOL |

Yep, both our boyz do it - we call it the "coyote stomp"! My hubby says coyotes do it too. It's probably a "dog" thing - not sure, but it is cute! :D |
