Sleeping with eye open Could those of you whose yorkie's sleep with an eye open let me know if it is one eye or both eyes? I told my vet about this yesterday and he insists that Rocky has a paralyzed eyelid because it appears to be only one eye. Please let me know. Thanks! Erika |
Mine sleep with both eyes closed, so I can't really help. I'm sure someone will be able to help you out. |
I'm pretty sure it's both eyes and it's mostly when she is sleeping on her back. Just keep watch while your baby is sleeping to see what is going on. I wouldn't worry yet. Keep us posted. |
I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to bump you up so someone else who does have an answer might not miss you! |
tucker dose the same hi my tucker dose the same i always think its because he wants to make sure i dont leave the room.il keep watching to see if anyone thinks the same thing |
Most of the time when I think Sophie is sleeping, her eyes are slightly open. I think she needs to know what is going on around her. She can be in a real sound sleep and jump up quickly if anything moves!:D She is definitely a "watch" dog!! |
Pixie usually has 2 eyes open but I have seen just one open. |
Miley has both eyes open and typically it is only on her back as well. |
mine usually has one eye open showing the white when he lays on his back... but i rub it and he closes it and doesn't do it again.. its real creepy looking |

yeah once in a while she'll be on her back and her eyes are like rolled up .. scary lol |
Aira sleeps with one or both eyes half open sometimes. The eyes roll back in her head and move around. It is gross :) She usually does this when in a deep sleep. |
