Best food for a 2 month old? I have had to get my little girl a bit sooner than expected and need advice on what would be the best food for her. She has been on Cesars puppy (yuk,I know) and I want to get her started on a premium quality food. *she is going to be greatly spoiled,as she is the daughter I've always wanted,so expect alot of prissy,fu-fu,spoiled rotten posts! :D ) I have tried her on Royal Canin mini babydog 30,but she seems to have some difficulty chewing it,so I'm thinking maybe wet food instead? She came with a health gurantee & I have already taken her to the vet who said she is doing great! Thanks in advance! P.S. Her name is Lilith aka Lily aka "Weenie Woman"! :p |
Both Evangers and Merricks have a good moist food. You might want to search food on here and youll get more. Whatever you decide make the food switch gradually |

Also, 8 weeks is very young. Perhaps ask your Vet if this little one should get Goat's Milk with the food as well. Congratulations of your new arrival! Enjoy and post tons of pics! Here is a great source of info and ratings on dog foods: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...iews/index.php |
moisten the kibble with water and let it sit for a while to get soft. Putting them on canned meat is hard to get them off of, if you don't want her on it in the long run. |
Thank You! Thank you all! I moistened her Royal Canin with water and let it get soft for her and she gobbled it up! I have also been giving her goats milk which she loves, & she is becoming quite the plump lil piggy! :p This little girl has already brought me so much happiness! Aren't Yorkies just the best!! :aimeeyork I'll post pics. soon! Thanks again! Ya'll are great! |

At eight weeks, she should not need the goat's milk. and i would not give it to her. if she wasn't weaned when you got her, maybe soften the dry kibble and add just a tad of puppy supplement to it. but at this age, she should have been weaned. Wet the kibble for a few days, then gradulayy add more dry than wet until she is eating all dry. |
