Questions My Roxy went to my vet today after a week if her being in her new home. She came with all her shots and everything. He said she is a healthy pup and great. She loved him giving him kisses and all. His only prob was that he thinks she is younger than what I was told. I was told from all her papers and vet rec that she will be 5months on Septh 16th. He said that she still has all her puppy teeth and feels that she is prob only 14 weeks old. He said in the next eight days she isnt going to lose them all but maybe she is the right age and is just a lil late but all in all she is a good puppy. So anyone else ever deal with a pup that lost teeth late? She is teething like crazy. I live in a big city she wants to bite the concrete steps. Are we in the ball park of getting ready to lose those baby teeth? or do you think she is younger than told. All and all the doc said she is great and in good health. He gave her a shot just for his own piece of mind. |
No I have not dealt withthis but I know many yorkies have trouble losing teeth, and have to have them pulled. My Bella had 12 like that! SO I am sure your baby is just fine and teeth with come out when they are ready! |
Is Roxy tiny? My Jasmine was 7 months old when I got her (she is now almost 3 years old)... and my vet thought she was younger because of her teeth and her size. Some tinies mature later. |
Thanks I hope that is the case here. I think she is the right age of going on 5 months, Roxy is very small not a tee-cup but to mature to a size 4.5 lbs. I was able to talk to the vet that took care of her before I got her and everything was up to date. My only thing is why is it taking slow and what is the oldest that you have known to lose them? |
Anyone else any idea's????? |
