Thank God you were there and Dieter is safe!

What a scary situation, I don't know what we would do if somebody tried that... you would see us on the news getting arrested!

:eek: Yikes, what a story,,,,good thing that this had a happy ending. I also, keep boobah on a short leash when we are out and about town. People yell across the park "Oh, look at the cute doggie!" The little ones come up and pet him, boobah is people friendly, but I dont want her to get too friendly.:mad: Good boy, Deiter, bark at strangers when they approach you!

How frightening! Not sure I would have reacted with such control in a similar situation.

I often wish mine were a bit more wary of strangers. Seems like they view strangers as admirers who haven't met them yet.

So many stories of attempted or successful thefts of Yorkies --- are we just hearing more of Yorkie thieves, or is this happening with other breeds also?

I NEVER EVER leave my girls unsupervised, there are just too many ppl out there trying to find a way to make a quick cash... So sad and frightening...:( :mad: :thumbdown

Well...sounds like you scared them off good and proper..i doubt very much they would be stupid enough to come back! just shows you have to be super vigilant at all times.;)

Deiter says Thanks for all your concerns. Oh and so does my mommy.

I know when I am out walking with him, there is some people he barks at, and all I do is ok Deiter. But I never tell him no... because you just never know. I am going to sit outside tomorrow and Sun to see if they come back to the rock climbing place...Boy do I hope they do. I am going to watch everybody just in case they come in a differant car... I am on the look out for them now.. And when I do see them I can't wait to see there face.. I am going to keep some baby wipes with me just in case they need to clean them self up from pooping there pants.....LOL

It's so good that that you were there!! But it still terrifies me to think that maybe it wasn't their "first time". That other people might have already lost their babies to them and are sitting at home not able to hug their babies tonight.

I am so glad you were there. You should have called the police; it wasn't their first attempt--I'd bet money on it.
