Hello, I hope some of you biewer 'experts' can help me out....

I contacted a person about a biewer she is trying to sell (I am not buying a biewer but wanted to look around and educated my self with the breed incase I do decide to get one in the future:D ).. anyway, she tells me she have a f1 female for sale for $1000.... Can someone tell me what that is (F1) and explain it to me thoroughly? Also she/he sent a pic. Have you seen a new born biewer this color? Thanks

ALSO, I'm not trying to put that breeder down or trying to put them 'out there.' I just wanted to know about what F1 means and that creme color baby;) .... Thanks again

A F1 puppy is a Biewer/Yorkshire cross. The first cross is called an F1 and is usually the traditional Yorkshire color. The puppies carry the pieball gene. I have never seen an F1 in this color. Perhaps others could help?

What about F2 (if there is one)? Is it when 2 carriers are together, a traditional and carrier is together, or when a carrier and biewer is together or something else?

Sorry, but that is not a F1 or a splitter or a Biewer.:confused: An F1 will look more like a Yorkie with traditional colors like Wendy said. I really would like to see this person's website..if you have it will you please PM it to me?

I think that 'yorkie' will end up looking golden because that breeder sent pics of a previous litter and an older female from the same parents and she is all gold/light tan.... as if the creme from the pic i posted is diluted as the time passed......

And she was quick for a sale. After I sent a few sentences she said they are $1000 and I can have anyone of the girls aslong as she can keep the other?! and it doesn't really matter to her.... I'm not trying to talk down on her I just don't want to 'work' with someone that doesn't take the time to explain to me... I'm ignorant when it comes to biewers and it was obvious so teach me before you 'throw' one at me (I hope you all get what I'm saying!)

I'm curious about the website as well. Could you pm it to me if you don't want to post it? I didn't even know people were mixing biewers and yorkies. Why? :confused: Thats how partis are bred, but Biewers are a different breed, right? Lol, I'm confused.

It seems like she doesn't care about her babies, if she's practically throwing this one at you with out explaining what she is.

she/he doesn't have a website. I found it on hoobly and emailed her. http://www.hoobly.com/0/0/174071.html ... but I tried google-ing around her email address (listed on hoobly) and a site did come up from a previous thread on YT! It seems she did have a site that I guess she decided to take down.... Hmm. Wonder Why?;)

There are several clubs that operate on the F1, F2, F3 theories.

I do not so I wouldn't be able to explain it. I breed Biewer to Biewer and carefully watch my lines as do many others. Feel free to look at my website and email me any specific questions.

I think it depends on who you ask. It's a practice still highly debated that got really ugly a year or so ago on here. Really a bunch of he said she said type arguments that never get resolved.

I do know this for a FACT--I am NOT an expert on Biewers (despite being accused of thinking that I am:confused: ) but I will say that pic looks nothing like any Biewer, Yorkie, Parti, Chocolate or ANYTHING else in between that I have ever seen. Looks like what some refer to as a "Puggle."

I would steer clear, there are so many GOOD breeders out there, it just seems silly to take a chance on one you can't be sure of.:)

I agree....looks puggleish to me. Is puggleish a word?? well you get the point. :p

I don't think it has enough wrinkles to look puggle-ish;) ... maybe yorkie / shih tzu mix? I have seen a pic of a new born Shih Tzu and I think it looks exactly like it....

I've included a pic of the older sibling. Doesn't it look like she the creme pup could look like that if it became diluted as the time pass?:confused: Just thinking...And plus it doesn't look like the quality I would have in mind if I were to buy a biewer

Well, I looked back at all of the pictures she sent me and saw that all of the pups were traditional color except the creme girl. i understand the rest because I was told F1 will look like a traditional... But still, what about the creme.

I dont think creme should be in any Parti/Biewer maybe pm JeanieK or TammyJM, or Scrappindee as they all have Parti/Biewers and may be able to help you more.

The dog doesn't look like a biewer or a yorkie. It is probably a mix of some sort.

I don't understand the f1, f2, or f3. I only breed Biewer to Biewer with extreme caution to pedigrees, colors, ears, etc.

i think it is a shih tzu/biewer mix. I came across this site: http://www.puptopuppies.com/ and under class act kennel (her kennel) it says F1 biewers and shih tzus. Maybe it was an opps litter because she kept saying she didn't have a pic of the mother but was proud to show pics of the biewer father

from a genetics study standpoint (iunno if this is the right way of looking at it but maybe some insight) ... buut

when using terms like F1, F2, F3, etc ... its the labels for the generation. So it could be the first generation of offsrping some mix between yorkie+_____ (parents).

Then the offspring from the F1 generations breed and their babies are the F2 generations.

but i would definitely ask the more experienced pple with biewers and partis.

Hmmmm,that's a tough one because I do see Yorkie features but the color throws me off some. :confused: So,she is saying that this dam is a (100%) Yorkie and (100%) Biewer mix?? I would think the Biewer breeders, especially the ones that have experience with the "Splitters",would be able to answer this for you...or atleast have a better idea than what I do. Her color looks more like a "Yorktese" (Maltese/Yorkie mix). However,I don't really see Maltese in her. The picture of the puppy does look like she will end up looking like the mom. I wish I knew what exactly to say....sorry that I have not been more help to you. The one thing that I can say is if you were looking for the look of a Biewer, she will not look like that. There are some great Biewer breeeders that are members of YorkieTalk if you decide to go that route.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well. It looks like a cross breeding.

I am not looking for an explanation of F1, F2, etc. It is a particular clubs philosophy. I don't know if it is working for their breeding programs as I don't discuss it. My breeding program does not utilize F1, F2.
