What size of toys does your yorkie like to play with? We have toys of all sizes, but here lately they have been going for toys that are almost the same size as they are. Hubby took Hallee to PetSmart and put some toys on the floor for her to pick from. She went straight for this 7" elephant. Both Hallee and Gracie love it, even though it is a little tough for them to carry around. Do your furbabies also go for the toys that are really too big for them? It is so hard to find the toys that are perfect size for them because there is less too select from. We don't want to keep buying the same toys. I think they need to make a bigger variety of small dog toys. |
In my house the yorkies love the big toys, the bigger the toy the better. Now my Shepherd, Cash on the other hand, the smaller the better |
My boys are the same way. They love the big toys. A little Napoleon complex, maybe? Hehe. |
Well its not the size that matters to Mr.Diggy its the loudness of the squeaker....the squirrels in the hide a squirrel are pretty stinkin loud. |
Big is GREAT!! 1 Attachment(s) Bogey is the same- the bigger the better! He evens pushes plastic flowerpots around with his nose thinking he's as big as they are. This is what he found to amuse himself with today: a lid to a 5 gal. bucket which he carried up 15 steps to get it inside. |
my J.C. loves squeaky toys. especially soft squeaky balls:) |
Alyssa loves any latex toy that makes a squeaky noise. The louder the better when it comes to Alyssa. She rips the tag out of stuffed toys and removes the stuffing. There is no hope for any stuffed toy. Emmy on the other hand loves the soft toys. The bigger the better when it comes to her. She will play with small toys but prefers large, soft toys. When she is tired playing she can just stop where she is and put her head on the toy. She will then fall asleep. I have some really cute pics of her asleep on toys as large or larger than she is. |
The bigger the better! Brooklyn likes ones he can swing around a lot. If they are to small he gets bored with them. |
Lol, its funny that this came up now, because just today, Wobie adopted one of my old stuffed animals from my childhood as his own toy. Its a giant horse, at least 5 times bigger than him! :D |
Izzy LOVES anything with a sound - bigger the better - no sound - not to much interest. Still her fav is her donkey motion toy. |
My sister got Chip the big squirrel to replace the small one he tore apart and he loves it! But I think it mainly has to do with the fact its a squirrel and has two squeakies in it. He also has a rotation of small and medium toys too. |
I think they all love the big toys! Teddy will always go for the ones that are as big as he is! |
Mine love to carry around the big loofa dogsl |
All mine think bigger is best!! Yesterday one of my 9 week old puppies was carrying around a toy 5 times her size. |

The bigger and louder the better!! Sadie's got this rubber hedgehog that has the loudest squeaker I've ever heard. I have to take it away from her when I'm talking on the phone, cause I can't hear a thing!! |
Boy I guess Momiji is a rare breed. She likes small toys so she can carry and run at the same time!!! Her current favorite toy is 3" duck that squeak!!! When I say "where is your ducky?" and she look for it!!! It is sooo cute, it is funny that she knows the difference between which toy is ducky and which toy is Bobo!!! :D |

Mine like the smaller toys and anything that squeaks |
Bengi likes small squeaky toys, he likes them that way so he can grab them tightly when we play tug-of-war. |
Cody likes anything that squeaks.. He hasn't been introduced to any BIG toys YET. so his are all small to about his size right now. |
Mines sometimes will play with any size together but Kodak likes the big toys that move and shake. Kamari loves the smaller toys that she can carry in her mouth and squeak the hell out of at 4am when everyones sleeping. |
