Boobah ate some..... OMG!, my back was turned and baby girl ate 1 slice of muenster cheese. She was gobbling it down while I attempted to put my hand forward to her mouth! I know about a little cheese, but a whole slice? Im just watching her right now. |
I would think she would be just fine? Just keep an eye on her but I cant foresee anything going wrong? Maybe Im wrong and someone has some information I dont know about..good luck.. Dawn |
Everything should be just fine. I bet it was yummy.;) |
My boys go nuts for cheese! She may get some diahhrea from it if she's not used to eating it, but she should be ok. |
How big was the slice??? I would think she should be ok, I give mine cheese (cheddar/paramasan) quite often... |
Lacy loves cheese! I think I've only given her cheddar though. I'm not really familiar with the type you're talking about but I'm sure she'll be fine. The worse thing that would happen is her having an upset tummy. |
Oh Boobah, your scarying your mom again.... :D If I don't have any white american cheese I do give them Muenster. Not a whole piece though, but I think she should be ok. Like someone else said, just keep an eye on her. |
Cheese is very good for them..........in moderation of course  She should be just fine. :D I give mine cheddar cheese at times. Most dogs love protein foods. |
cheese I have fed Yorkies cheese of all kinds for decades...then I was reading in today's Parade magazine a list of foods dogs should not eat...but gave no reasons..some I understand, but mine eat a number items on this list.. Alcohol apple cores avocado? bones caffeine cheese? chocolate dough fat.. they need some fat? garlic? grapes ham.. It is salty, but they get a bite or two sometimes? LIVER? milk moldy foods mushrooms? mine love them..they think portabellos are meat.. onions potato peels..I give them the skin of baked pots? raisins tuna..they love TUNA..? |
If dogs can eat poop and not die from that, I'm sure a slice of muenster won't do any harm. I can't believe the cast iron stomachs these little guys have, at least for non-dog "food" |
Re: Cheese thanks you guys for all your info on cheese. That one entry from one of the YT members really hit home! "If some of them eat their own poop, surely one slice of cheese won't hurt them"! :) |

I wonder if some of them are just because the foods are fatty. Not good for them, but not really dangerous. I know there was a whole thing about Tuna and Mercury too. My favorite one is the first Alcohol...Is someone partying with their dog???:2party: |
She should be just fine. I wouldn't worry. |
If he actually chewed the cheese (my old dogs just swallowed the whole piece) it shouldn't be a problem, maybe some loose poops. If he took down the cheese in a huge chunk there is a slight chance it could cause a blockage in the GI track. |
