So Mad Hi, First I want to thank everyone for there input when Bucky was sick He is doing Great now. I have decided to make all his food. I really think he had food poisoning this last time. I have found some wonderful recipes and Bucky loves the fresh cooked meals. Last night we took Bucky to Lowes with us. This lady had 2 smaller dogs with her and she came up and said he dogs love other babys so I let her dog come up to see Bucky and the thing bit his face. I was horrified to say the least. Bucky has never been so terrified in his life and neither had I. I feel so horrible that I put my baby in danger. He was not hurt just shaken. Thank goodness he has so much hair on his face. It really saved him from injury. I am going to take Bucky to the park today so I can make sure he will still be OK with others. I sure wont trust anyone again when they tell me there dog loves dogs. Thanks for listening to me ramble I just needed to vent. |
 I can't believe that! Your poor baby! What did that lady say? |
Holy smokes! I'm sorry to hear that happened to you guys! And glad you were still in 1 piece... sure is scary though. |

Oh poor little Bucky...glad to hear he is okay and not injured. You just never know when other doggies approach.... |
I'm sure she felt awful about her dog biting yours. For some reason mine are more aggressive when they are all together and on leashes. They are all sweethearts at the dog park and are usually submissive to other dogs but put them on a leash and they act like little bulldogs. I have learned that my dogs cannot greet other dogs while on a leash. They just go crazy. So glad your little guy is okay. |
Some people are just too stupid. |

so sorry to hear that happened ... sure hope your baby is okay ... I just learned a valuable lesson there .... |
I'm sorry that happened to Bucky - probably really shook him up. Some lady had her three HUGE dogs at the park yesterday and they tore after Riley. She said, Oh, don't worry - they're really friendly. I don't think Riley thought that when they had him pinned to the ground......sigh, some people.... |
I'm sorry to hear about the scare, but thankfully it was just a scare and not an injury. Some pet owners are in denial about their pets' behaviors, in my opinion. A few weeks ago I was at PetSmart buying a few things and had Wickett on his leash. We were going down an isle and there was a lady there looking at doggie doors with a yellow lab. I spoke to Wickett loudly, anouncing our presence and that he was a smaller dog.....she didn't even look our way. As we got a bit closer, her dog went NUTS and started barking and growling at Wickett. I picked him up right away......a 4 lbs yorkie would be a snack to a lab. And you know what the woman did??? She gave me a dirty spiteful look and said something to her daughter along the lines of "I can't believe she's bringing that dog down this isle" as if it were a shock that there would be another dog at PetSmart!!! That really made my blood boil. I kept my cool, but continued down the isle with Wickett in my hands while the lab pulled on his leash and barked, just to annoy his owner. In hindsight, that probably wasn't the safest thing for me to do for myself, but she really upset me. In my opinion....if your dog has issues with other dogs or people, you shouldn't take them to a place where they will be surrounded by both. |
Good for you! Some people are so blind to their dog's behavior.... |
How scary for both of you, any doggie mom's nightmare. 1. What I have learn is that by putting 2 dogs face to face is like a challenge, and dogs will act out what is in their nature. I'm no better then anyone else, I have forgotten this rule myself. 2. To Riley's mom, don't belive other dog owners when they say they don't bite. Next time this happens you tell them "Well mine does will yours not defend them self if they get bitten?" see what they say or how fast they run....lol . |
oohhh poor bucky baby! Im glad hes ok though! yeah I don't trust anyones dogs with mine until they EARN it! :) You just never know what might set off another dog! |
