Sounds like the same thing my dogs do. When I first got my yorkie, My chihuahua played that way to chloe. She still does sometimes. I think it is a dominance thing. Tinkerbell would even tries to take her butt and sit on chloe(they are both small, no one gets hurt :p ). I think my chihuahua is trying to show her whos boss. CHloe doesnt care :D |
When Preslee plays with Memphis or Recon she will go down on her front legs and have her butt in the air then turn her butt towards them and wiggle it. Then she rolls over onto her back. If she doesn't do that she does the army crawl up to them. LOL :) |
My Lacijo swings her hips to knock the others over when they are playing. I thot it was a one time thing but as I watched her playing I saw it was no accident. She does it all the time. Run by them and put her hiney in their faces and then a shove with her hip if they don't respond. Sylvia |
I have no idea about that either, our daughters chihuahua puts his butt up or turns around and shows his butt to you and then he kicks with his back feet, like a mexican hat dance! Hilarious! |
I always thought it was a defensive mechaism to keep from getting scratched in the head. They prefer to get scratched in the backside where it is more padded I think! |
