What does it mean when my yorkie does this? He will run into my bedroom, jump on my bed and start pushing his face all over my bed, walking sideways like a funny dance....doing barrel rolls and snorting...what does this mean?? It's so funny looking!!! :aimeeyork |
haha...thats soo funny, bella does this too...she actually does it allll the time. i dont know what it means i think it just feels good to them....they can be soo cute!! |
Not sure what it means, but my guess is they love your scent and are trying to add theirs to your bed,lol!! |
Coco our toy poodle, and Bobo one of my Yorkies does this all the time. I said they were making their bed or picking their spot But, what do I know . HEHE> Somedays wish I could read their minds. |
I have this spray stuff that you can spray on the sheets... *blushing now* I got it at an adult toy party. Its powder though but it has pheramones in it. If I spray the sheets my Fletcher does this... he goes NUTS!!! hehe Its cute! Im sure hes picking up on the pheramones in the spray and that is what is making him all hot & bothered! Humans give off natural pheramones, so maybe your guy is picking up on yours and its making him all hot & bothered too! :) |
edgar does it. i took him to the vet, so i know it's not ear troubles. i read somewhere that dogs like to roll in a scent they find exciting. sort of a catnip for dogs thing. |

Cody has been doing this in the grass and on the carpet. i was thinking he might have ear trouble. but i think it must feel good to him too cause it never really last long. i read somewhere too that they want to get our scent and other scents on and off them when doing this |
Siu Pao does it on the carpet and on the couch. I think they trying to rub the scent from the floor to their body???? Dunno those silly buggers :rolleyes: |
Peanut does that anytime we come home or if he was in the crate and gets let out... he has to get the crate smell off of him and our smell on him, plus he's just excited! |
I don't know, you may notice that when you are outside, your dog may smell something in the grass, and roll his face in it, then smell it again, and roll his face in it again. I saw Scruffy do this many times, and so I went to the one spot that he was doing this, and it was bird poop!!! He has done this many times. I think, like someone else said, that they like the scent they are rolling in, and want it on themselves:D |
Mine do it too. I just figure they have an itch. |
