The open font could be anywhere on his head, even behind the ears. It sounds like he did do a neurological exam from your description. My main concerns right now would be hydrocephalus (either from an open font or head trauma which you may not have been made aware of), Liver Shunt, or MVD. The bile acid test will tell you if liver shunt or MVD is a possibility. |
congrats on your new addition |
I'm guessing your wobbly head was nothing more then a wiggly puppy and if you've had a previous bad experience you immediately think the negative. ;) I say wahoo and congrats. It sounds like you are going to keep an extra eye out on him anyway, so if there truly was a wobbly head issue, you'll be all over it. Have fun with your new addition. |
4I did decide to keep him after the vet check and his name is Rudy. It just sounded like the right name for this little guy. He's just so happy and full of energy. I called the vet back and asked a lot of questions and decided that I'll wait on any further testing. Rudy is a happy, energetic, playful puppy with a good appetite. He's into everything. I really enjoy having him in my life! |
Congratulations on adopting Rudy. Have fun and look forward to more pictures. Warmly, Deborah |
