For those with 2 dogs or more. Is the fur on each of your dog different? Aubrey is normal, I guess. But Dakotas is SUPER soft. I was thinking that it was because she still a puppy, but Aubreys wasn't like hers. |
I have two... Emma is darker, with a cotton coat that we keep short, and her hair mats easily. Her ponytail isn't as thick is Milli's, but that might be due to the fact we keep her in a puppy cut with longer hair on her head. Milli is going to be lighter, and is already getting her blue at 9 months old. She has a silky coat, which we are letting grow out, and it's easy to take care of. It only mats if we leave clothes on her too long, and if we don't brush her every other day. |
I have two. Gracie's hair is fine and more gray, hardly any tangles. Hallee's is super soft, thick, thick, thick and black. She gets Gracie's share of tangles. They share one parent, but have very different hair and personalities. |
ummm I have 3 and they all have different coats. Teddy has a modified coat, his body hair is wavy and can knot but his head hair is silky soft and golden. London has a silky coat, she gets no knots and is a blondie. Sophia's hair is soft and doesnt get knots but its a little thinker than London's, or has more volume. Also she's a brunette. |
I have six that are silky coated and one that is a cotton coat. She is a sister to one that has a silky coat. |
I have 2 boys from the same liter, brothers. One has silky hair and the other a cotton coat! One never mats the other is always matted! Poor little guy! |
Cali has a thick cottony coat from hell to take care of and Pixie has a stick straight silky coat that never mats. |
its funny to hear that everyone has 1 of both. i too have both. Troy's coat is thick and cottony. really soft but matts pretty easy. i was letting it grow but got fed up and cut her down. i recently shaved her and found that she is grey instead of black like i thought she was. but this was her first major cut. got rid of the puppy coat so maybe it will be different. Walker has a beautiful silky coat that i keep short. it matts on the bottom. it doesn't grow fast and he just looks better short. i wish it was the other way around. with Troy being the girl it would be so cute to let it grow out. i guess you never know what you're gonna get. |
Ryoko has thin beautiful long silky hair, but thicker than most other Yorkies around my neighborhood. Kaze has really Thick thick beautiful long silky hair.. Now Ryoko looks like a boy Yorkie because of hais hair style compared to Kaze's. this week people have asked if Kaze was a girl I just say Yes to avoid discussion because they cant see his thingy under all that hair. |
Yes! Kaya's hair is thin, silky, very easy to brush and it curls a bit around her butt! It's not "supposed" to, I know, but it's cute. :) Tinka's hair is extremely thick and cottony ~ matts very easily and I keep her short. The hair on her head is not cottony so I leave that a little longer. Brea has thicker, very straight hair. Don't really know if it's actually silky... but it is pretty... I love brushing her... much to her dismay. As for my new Morkie... I'm not sure what she will be like. I do know that her hair is very thick. |
Both of mine have the same kind of hair |
Indy is silky, she does not get knots and is a breeze to groom. Benjamin has a soft coat, it is very thick and mats easily. Malachi is only 6 months old and I can't really tell what his coat will be like yet but I *think* it is going to be silky. |

Archie however has the cotton coat from hades. It is thick with a bit of a wave and mats if you look at him. By the time I finish brushing one side of him, the side I just brushed is already tangled again. At least it sure seems so. |

Pipers is thick and wavy, and Penny's is straight as a board. |
I have 2, one has a cotton coat, and I keep him cut short. I'm not sure what kind of coat the other one has, but it is fine, and does mat easily. I comb them both out every night, or at least every other night. |
