Adding a girl yorkie... I have a 1 y/o male yorkie and my friend was giving her 8 month old girl away so I took her so that she would have a good home. The problem is that last night he tried to hump her all night long, all he would do is follow her around...he would not even eat or play. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make him stop? |
I dont think you can... Well, unless you get them both fixed... Thats nature taking its course and I've heard that belly bands, diapers and all that stuff dont do any good. Unless, your looking to breed, you should probably take care of that quick! Hope this helps. |
I was told they also do this to show dominance......it is a bad habit that can be broke, just like any other bad habit !!!! Unless the female is not fixed, then she is giving out an odor that says "BREED ME "!!!!!! |
My sisters maltese is like that when ever i take karleigh there for a visit and she is spayed, he is really bad, follows and tries to corner and mount her all the time, we dont know why since she is spayed:confused: I just dont take her anymore, my boys at home dont do that with her, it must be the dominance thing for real. |
Is she fixed? If not, she might be in heat  then you have to separate them right away. She is too young to breed right now, even if you do want to breed in the future :p (no comment). He might be "humping" her in vein but if he's anything like my boy he won't hump unless they're in heat and ready... |
