When will the madness stop?
 
It's been like 2 or 3 weeks that London's had her period. Her nipples and private are still large, when will they turn to normal? Teddy is going crazy! He's been panting, drooling, etc. I have to keep him at my bf's again until her period goes away and i get him neutered.

Why dont you get London fixed? Or are you planning on breeding her.

It takes about 3 weeks. If you're not going to breed her you might want to think about spaying her.

o no yes i am def. going to get her fixed! It's just that with her size i was so scared and kept putting off the appt. and then her heat came so now i have to wait the vet said.

LOL i know! You were so right! I mean seriously he wasnt doing anything at all before, and i've been in DR for a week so he was at my bf's house and the girls with my mom. When i spoke to my bf he said he went to pick up the girls and had to take them back cause Teddy was going crazy humping the air lol I was like oh please i can handle him. When i went to pick him up he wasnt even excited to see me, he wanted to go straight to London. I had to bring him back to my house finally and keep them separated.

The nipples and vulva usually don't completely return to normal. The nipples should mostly return to the way they looked pre-heat, but sometimes there is a little more tissue there so they aren't as flat as they were before. The vulva will never return to the size it was before the heat. It doesn't stay nearly as big as it is during the heat and will shrink quite a bit, but it will still be bigger than it was before the heat. The amount of time it takes to go back down depends on the dog - some dogs have false pregnancies. I would keep them seperated for at least another two weeks just to be safe.
