New to YT
 

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I'm Jackie, proud new Momma to an 11 week old Bella. She is my first small dog and I have had a lot of questions already so i've been lurking and learning a ton from all of you. I'm finding that not everyone wants to hear my talking about my baby girl all the time so this would be the perfect place for me to hang out. :)

Other then Bella we have another 6 week old pup Chloe, she is a Boston terrier and 2 labs, black named spooky (2yrs) and yellow named Willow (10months). We also have a kitty cat named raven (4yrs). We have always had large breed dogs and when we lost out last 2 labs we replaced them right away which is how we now ended up with all young dogs. It's nice having them so close in age but when you lose them close together its really tough.

I do have one question about harnesses for tiny yorkies. I take Bella potty outside right now and I will use puppy pads in the garage in inclimate weather. I have been unable to find a harness that fits her, even the ferret harness I got is a bit big. I don't care for that one anyway because it goes on her neck so it seems to defeat the reason for the harness in the first place. I have a step in one in the smallest size but it was so lose she wiggled right out of it today. So, for the time being i'm using a collar when she goes out potty and it scares the daylights out of me that she will get hurt. Any suggestions on a harness that might fit?

there is great info and people here. tiger's mom hand makes custom harnesses from your measurements. the quality is A+.

Welcome you baby is precious. Pocomutt makes harness http://pocomutt.com/default.aspx shes wonderful, and shes actually in the process of making mine. She has A TON of different colors and designs you can choose from.

Welcome Bella you look beautiful in your red hair bow...love the reds/yellows/oranges io the darker Yorkies. You will like it here on YT.

welcome and I can see you are a good mommy.:aimeeyork you are right to seek and find the right fitting harness. She relly willneed it for training. AS for the potty training.. remember. they are a little slower then labs when it comes to potty:confused: lots of good threads, just look at some old ones and you will see how much info is at y.t.:yorkiesar :welcome4: :welcome4: :big_hug:
