Morning Stink! My lil prissy "kids" hate the mornings when the grass is wet! I think they think there sugar and there feet are going to melt lol They will walk completely around the property and find every non grassy area so they don't have to walk on the wet grass lol Then it takes them forever to pee cause they don't want to step on the wet grass lol anyone else have this trouble or are my babies just prissy? lol |
nope I have that same problem with Wicket he will not pee if the grass is damp. lately he has gone as far to make me think he has gone (fake it) and so I bring him inside he pees, so now I check to see if he has pee or not. he can't stand his feet we, when he does comes in he has to stomp and kick his feet until they are dry. |

My Lilli is the same way, I remember when we went to get her CGC certified it was 9:00 in the morning and I just knew it wasnt going to work but we tried it anyways and she froze up would not move and the lady ask me what was wrong and I hated to tell her my dog hates wet grass but I had to ask her if we could come back around 1:00 to retake it LOL  we came back and she passed with flying colors LOL. |
Add Izzy to the club..hehehe....she wont' go when the grass is wet, won't go when it's raining and I dare think what's going to happen when she sees snow for the first time....this is her first winter....she better get over it quick because she can't potty in the house all the time nor is she good at the pee-pad thing - only goes on them if she is confined to her x-pen. :( But there is still hope - we have 2 more months to work on it! |

I use to buy the peepads, but it just got to expensive! I may check into the washable ones! |
Oh yes have been dealing with the damp/dewy grass in the morning, and Bella absolutely hates being wet. I have done some searching and have found some booties that are water repellent and hope they help...I also have been thinking ahead as snow will be falling in a few months and I can only imagine how she will respond to that, so I will be needing to invest in some snow boots for her. |
How funny you should ask I have a boy, Diggy and he WILL NOT go on wet grass! He pees and poops on my sidewalk or driveway. he is only 5 1/2 months so there he is in the middle of the driveway hiking his leg on nothing peeing!!! Bella did this when she was younger but since she has turned 2 she doesnt care she runs in the et grass no problem! |
Oh yeah. I finally got Piper boots, so his feet won't get wet, and he can walk around. Sad isn't it? |
Oh mine do this so much. They act like I'm killing them when I pick them up and put them on the wet grass. But, if they know we're going to the park or on a walk, they don't care if the grass is wet. Just to potty! |

Nope. But if I didn't have Aubrey I am sure she would be that way. She follows her big brother! |
nope. my midget is the opposite. she will run and frolick in the rain, in wet grass. she'll pee and then come running back inside like the wind, getting her wet and muddy feet all over my carpet. |
