Lacy is going to daycare for the first time tomorrow
I am starting vet school on Monday, and we have orientation tomorrow and Friday from 8-4 or so in the afternoon (with no time to leave during the day). So Lacy is going to daycare for the next two days. A vet clinic here actually just opened up this new daycare and luxery boarding about a month ago - we went to the open house and it was nice. I think she'll enjoy playing with other dogs but I know she is really going to miss me. She is used to being with me pretty much all day every day. She'll be three next months and I've only been on one short vacation without her. I graduated from college in December and would only be gone a couple hours at a time during the day for classes and since then had been working full time at a dog boutique where she went to work with me everyday. She gets upset if I leave her just to go to the grocery store so I really think it's going to be hard on both of us to be away from each other most of the day now. I feel like a stay-at-home mom that is going back to work for the first time and leaving her baby LOL. Once classes start, I'll have lunch breaks during they day to come home and let her out. And she is still going to go hang out at the dog boutique I worked at with the owner and her yorkies a couple afternoons a week - plus some doggy daycare once a week or once every two weeks. I'm going to miss being with her all day though. Hopefully she'll do well at daycare tomorrow |
