Hi Everyone!
Happy Holidays to you all, Just wanted to introduce myself to u all and I really enjoy this site, I posted a picture of my two yorkies.. hope to chat with u all..

Delighted you are joining us - please tell us more about your yorkies. I have two also and live in Wales.

My female yorkie is named Myra I call her "My" she is 8 months old and weighs 2 lbs 12 oz. and my male his name is Tyler and I call me "Ty" he is 11 months old and weighs 5 lbs. I was going to breed them but he is too big for My and also found out he has Legg Calve Perthers Disease, and has had surgery last month, and to find out he has to have surgery again today to remove more of his bone in his hip so I was pretty upset that he has to go through with surgery all over again, surgeron at fault.. I posted pictures of them in the photo gallery, they are my babies I love them so much I went from a huge black lab to these little ones and I will never have a big dog again. thanks for the welcome to the site.

Looked in albums and they are both lovely!! So sorry about Ty's problem -when will he have more surgery? Poor little boy - how will it affect him? Something special about these smalldogs isn't there?!! I just adore our girls! Tell me more about Ty's problem? Ana xx

Hello and welcome! Your babies are adorable. That pic of My sticking her tongue out is priceless! I have a ~10 month old named Tatum. Good luck on Ty's surgery. We'll be thinking of ya'll.

GypsyRose Ty will be having his surgery today 12/7/04 I have to take him to the vet at 11 am, his surgery will be at 2 pm. His problem started when I notice he was hoping around on three legs I thought he might have fallen and hurt it, so I watched him for a few days, wasn't getting better, so I took him to the vet, and they did x-rays and on the x-rays u can see three black spots on xrays so they ran more test with the lab and they came back with the Legg Calve Perthes Disease. So in October he had the surgery. On his followup I told the vet that he is still not using his leg so he took more xrays and said the surgeron didn't take enough of the bone out it's still rubbing bone to bone so we need to go back in and cut that bone out, well at the point I was so upset, because the reason I did this surgery so this wouldn't happen the bones rubbing againist bone, the cost alone was enough to give me a heart attack lol....So the vet said we will have to go back in, so today is the day and I'm a nervous yorkie mom but they said that after the surgery he will be fine and he will use the leg like nothing ever happen to him, the only thing is that I can't breed him so the next thing I have to do is get him fixed. and they won't do it at the same time either...U can read more about this disease at. http://www.vetinfo.com/dencyclopedia/deleggcp.html

Thanks Brandi and Angie I will post a message as soon as I pick Ty up after his surgery he goes to vet at 11 am and his surgery is at 2pm so I figure he won't be ready till around 4 or 5.. yes the picture of My sticking her tounge out is priceless I have a picture of Ty in a elf hate I will try to post it it keeps saying it's too big but I will try it's a Great Picture of him..

cindy - pm'd you - I'll be here later to see how Ty is. I posted a message just now or thought I did!! Time difference confuses me - all I know is that TEXAS is 6 hours behind us! Know USA has many time zones, just hope he'll be home with you very soon!! Love, Ana xx

Hi Everyone just picked Ty up from the vet.. they said everything went fine this time around.. he should be up and moving in a few days they said.. he is crying right now poor baby he just can't get comfy.....Will keep u all posted on how his recovery is going. thanks so much for your thoughtful emails and concerns about my little guy...

Yep! We have 4 cats and a dog.
