I thought I posted this Hmmm sorry moderators if I did and I jsut can't find it....I am asking for helpful tips anyone wants to share regarding bathing thier furbabies. I feel I do fine and Kirby cooperates...but I also feel I could use some tips or may be forgetting something! thanks!

I am not sure what kind of tips you are looking for. I always us baby shampoo on their heads and the dog shampoo on the rest of their bodies. Make sure you cover their ears so they dont get the water in them. It is better to brush them when they are clean and just blow dried or semi dry. Dont brush when they are dirty. Not sure what else to add. I bathe mine in the sink and they stand with their front legs on the divider in the sink and they do pretty good. I have a couple that are still a little freaked with the water on their face. I use Coat Handler Shampoo and conditioner, Chris Christensen Brush, and I am not sure of the brand but a metal comb I got at a show. Make sure you rinse very well so they dont itch and are shiny. Not sure what else to add.

I use a shower attachment in a tub. It has always worked great for me. You just want to keep water out of their nose and ears. You want to also be sure to completely rinse all shampoo out of their coats. If any is left, it will cause them to itch. I use baby shampoo on the face, Pantene on the rest, and use Johnson's No More Tangles for babies after the final rinse. I always use a blow drier on mine. I'm sure you do just fine.:)

Valuim - for you

Towels - lots - for them

Ok kidding on the valuim - but I used to use Tearless shampoo when mine were babies - and try to not get water in the ears. The faster you do the bath the less stressed they'll be unless they really love the water - I have one Water MONSTER and one that doesn't like it- she gets the fast baths and YorkieUSA is right - RINSE VERY WELL ALWAYS !

also - getting them used to the hairdryer young is a good idea - but always keep it far enough away where they don't get burned and keep the temp very comfortable - not hot !!

I use oatmeal soap on their buddies and baby shampoo on their heads. I have a sprayer attachment which helps me a lot.

thank you! i was wondering if I was rinsing well enough....I am thinking not.
yes these are the types of tips:) Do yours like the blow dryer...mine seems to like it....I thought that was strange. I cannot get him fully dry though.
