Ok friends...let's keep this between me and you...I don't want to give little Lola a complex.

She was spayed about a month ago and her tummy fur is still growing in, so last night when she was sleepy I rolled her over and noticed that she only has 7 nipples. Has anyone heard of this before? I proceeded to roll Valentino over and her has 8...is that the usual number??? I never even thought to check before.

I can already picture you all examining your furbabies to check...that is why I love being part of this board...everyone here is so willing to help a concerned Yorkie mom out.

hehehe, that's perfectly normal. Not all dogs have 8 nipples. some have 6, some have 7.

I once heard that they can have 6-8, but I don't know. I'll have to check Jake out when I get home from work.

I can just hear my husband...."omg, she's counting his nipples now" lol

Nipple Count!!!!! Sound off!! This thread cracks me up. And, I learned something, I did not know they could have 6-8 nippies!! I love YT. You always get your questions answered. You guys are the greatest. And by the way, Lola is a beautiful baby!!

Valentino is a male and he has nipples...8 of them, even though they just look like tiny little brown dots...I used them as reference to compare to Lola...haha! :p

p.s. Thanks for all of you saying she is cute, I agree... but then again, I am a bit partial. :wub:

My nipple count: P-bear has 5 (that's all that I could find, but he was wiggling away like "Mooommm!!! WTF are you doing now????") And Daryl (fiance) has 2. :cool: :p

Its normal, most have 8 but they can have any number. A friends dog has 11! And yes the boys do have nipples, tell your hubby to look closer :p
