The Reason I Get Out Of Bed Do you ever look at your babies and wonder what it would be like if you didn't have them? And wonder why people don't have pets? I've had a really tough last week at work and while contemplating quitting and moving to Ohio with my mom (with her blessing of course) I have realized that I think the only reason I'm still up and about is because of the monkeys. If I didn't have them I swear I would just stay in bed all day and night. While I haven't been the best mom I can be, I still take them for walks and play ball and cuddle. They have really been a blessing for me. I just don't know how people without pets function sometimes. |
I'd be lost without mine. Their my best friends. |
Oh, I'm totally with you. People ask me what I'd do without them and I say.."I'd probably have a boyfriend because I'd leave the house more often". When I come home from work I'm just overwhelmed with love. I sit and stare at them with such adoration. the unconditional love means so much to me. Good Luck with everything and keep lovin those babies!! |
I agree. Mine are the reason right now I get up in the morning and function through the day. It's so nice to be loved uncondtionally by these little munchkins. :) |

BTW, I hope everything works out for the best for you. Keep your chin up! |
I know my little fur baby fills up my day and I am happy to have him. Once all the kids are grown and you are alone, you need a fur baby. |
I completely understand! There have been a couple of times in my life when I don't think I could have pulled through without my babies. |
I am a person that just cannot really function being on my own because I used to live with my family and we usually function as a family (other than when I am working). It got really lonely when I first got married and moved to Canada from South East Asia and my husband worked long hours. The first 6 months wasn't good as I didn't have a dog and was alone most days and the fact that I am very shy with strangers doesn't help either. Then my husband bought Siu Pao for me. I am so blessed to have him. Things are better now although I do not really have alot of friends but I am more at peace and more adapted. I am very happy to wake up in the morning and Siu Pao is by my side waiting for me to wake up :D Now I try to roam around the city on my own with Siu Pao by my side and it helps so much. |
I agree! I don't know how I got through life BEFORE I had them. Now I can't imagine life without them...nor do I want to. |
I can so relate to you, there are many bad days here for me, and my furkids really keep my going, they play a big part in my therapy, I love to talk about them with you all , since we all have that yorkie love among us:p looking and sharing at others babies really make me happy:D |
Great post. And they are much cheaper than therapy! |
That's how I feel. Jake means so much to me, I can't even put it into words!:) |

Yes! I often say..What did I do before I had you?? Hope things get better for you.. but you can still come to Ohio. ;) |
I am so sorry you had a bad week. Things will get better. When things are tough for me at work (which they are occasionally), I just think that it is my job, not my life. My life is at home, where my family resides. I also think that sometimes I am not the best Mom to Conner. I have been on vacation and tomorrow will be my first day back at work. Conner has been spoiled while I have been home, and I know he will not want me to leave tomorrow. Keep your chin up and live for your family and furfamily. |
Yep.... they are literally the reason I get out of bed  Seth is licking my face and Sasha is jumping around on the bed, and Silas is whining in his crate. I can remember when i got up when I wanted, I went to the bathroom first. GOSH life was boring, now the traffic going by get a show in the morning, Me and all 3 of them in the yard peeing, pooping, and me in my jammies. I would not trade them for anything. I am BLESSED :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :animal36 : |
ARGH!!! I can't even imagine. Some days, they are the only thing capable of making me smile :) They are my life. I get called the crazy dog lady (well mostly by my hubby haha LOL :D ) But thats ok, cuz I am! They truley are a blessing :aimeeyork Quote:

Kim I am sorry you weren't having a great week, you need to get your monkeys and come on down here...:D When Peanut & Lexie were both at the vet, my house was so quite that it drove me crazy, even with the rest of the brat pack...Hang in there girl, I am praying you get a job down here soon....:D |
Anyone who doesn't own a pet is missing out on one of the greatest joys in the world. The unconditional love of a pet is like nothing else on earth. I miss my dogs terribly when I am away from them and I can't wait to get home to them each day. They bring me more comfort and joy than most anything. I don't know what I'd do without them. |
When I have a bad day or I am feeling sad I just sit with my dogs and it cheers me right up. I could not live without pets. I could live on an island with just animals and no people and be happy!! |
They are the only reason that my daughters get to go to college. Otherwise, I'd lock my daughters in this house and never let them leave. But with the furboys, I can let my girls get on with their lives. (Besides, there are a lot of toys, but Coby and Reggie don't mess up the house nears as much! And they don't even shed as much as my daughters!) |
I feel the same, i've had a really tough few months just recently and have lost some loved ones. I honestly think if it wasen't for my furbabies I probably woulden't be here. |
I totally agree. Just tonight I said to my husband that I felt so blessed to have our two yorkies. They are both special little boys and smother us with love. The joy they give us is immeasurable. They are the first thing I think of in the morning, and the last thing I think of at night. I am completely captivated by their beauty and adorable personalities. I can't imagine life without them. If I go out for a half hour to do errands, I miss them! |
This is a GREAT post!!!!!! I would be soooo lost if i didnt have my baby. he cheers me up. because he does the silliest funniest things... and me and mom die laughing.! |
I've had a really, really tough 2007. Until I got Scooter I referred to it as my year in hell. I love my little guy so much...he asks for nothing and is thankful for everything that I do for him. I can pick him up, get yorkie kisses, and suddenly everything is better. I don't know what I'd do without him!! |
Some weeks are like nightmares! For sure! However, my Kacee is the ONLY reason I'm up a little after 6 a.m. and we're heading out for a two-mile walk. It's a wonderful way to start the day. She loves it and it gets me started on my day. Besides in this heat - it's 9:45 a.m. and it's 93 degrees - 6 a.m. is the only time of day she enjoys being outside!:D |
I think that lots of us got our first Yorkie following something traumatic in our lives. There is something about holding a tiny puppy that many times remains a lap pup that can help you heal like none other. Sissy followed two very traumatic family deaths in a 6 months period along with both my son and daughter moving out of the house and into adult life. She and Angel have made me a better person and better wife to my hubby as well!!!! |
Ok confession time!!! ;) I had always wanted a little dog really wasn't set on what kind. Then I started to see Yorkies pop up everywhere. I thought to myself... Small and they don't SHED!! So that was the reason I choose a Yorkie. NOW the confession... LOL I found this site BEFORE I got Diesel and I must admit I thought you all were nuts! Then I brought Diesel home. I now speak fluent DBT (Dog Baby Talk),find myself buying him things that he doesn't need, and basically just spoiling him rotten.:D He snuggles at night and needless to say he is the first thing I see and feel in the mornings. When he was a pup he use to sleep curled up around my neck I think I would honestly loose my mind if something even happened to him. He is very attached to me as I am to him. I just never in a million years thought I would ever become this attached to dog. So yes I am hooked! LOL :luvu: |
I would be lost and so miserable without my babies. They are my joy and I find I don't want to even leave the house. I am so happy to just be with them. |
