:thumbdown yesterday me and my husband went to a flea market here in south carolina and we saw this lady selling yorkies and let me remind u it was 104 degrees outside and she had these babies they looked like they were just a few weeks old and she had no air on them no water in the bowls and she said there were laying on ice packs that were covered up with some type of cloth. i told her to put water in the bowl and she just looked at me and then i said it agian and she ignored me and then i said put water in the bowel or i am calling the police so she got up and put water in the bowl. I said are the puppies hot ? Do they feel hot and she said here u feel and so i felt of them and they felt ok. i said well u only have one ice pack u need to have to so she made another one. she was really afraid i was going to get her in trouble. i told her i come here every saturday i better never see those babies like that agian. and she just walked away. I hate how people care more about money then they do the well being of the dog. it makes me so mad..:thumbdown

What a very sick sick woman......What is the minimum age to sell pups in your state??? I seriously would go back never week and search her out, buy a pup, and have her a$$ arrested!!! What a useless peice of human she is.....:mad:

The Amish used to bring pups to sell at the Farmer market in MD...complain to the animal control..we complained so much, they stopped them.

Good for you. You should find out her name and call animal control to check out her property to see how she is housing her dogs. They are probably in a bad situation. Maybe they could stop her from breeding and selling them. Or having dogs at all. How much was she selling them for?

Flea markets make me so mad. I wish they would outlaw the selling of animals! I can't even go to the animal part of the flea market here. The animals look so sick and hot. i want to take them all home.

Was this flea market jockey lot in Anderson? If so, the shelter I volunteered for used to get a lot of animals that didn't sell that ppl had left at the end of the day.

she was selling them for 800. if i had that kind of money i would have got them both. it was so sad i cryed all the way home and when i got home i just held my yorkie and was glad that i had him and he dont have to worry about being in a bad situation. He is loved at my house. but it really made me mad and thats what i said to her how would u feel being out in this heat and not haveing something to drink i dont know if those puppys knew to drink out of the water bowl.:thumbdown

I'd be writing the Humane Society and the ASPCA - that sounds awful for those poor dogs and the laws need to be changed where this isn't allowed - Those poor poor puppies - laying on ice packs ? OMG that's got to be so uncomfortable for them - I'd like to take that woman and put HER on an icepack

It should be illegal to sell animals at flea markets. Their always in those bad condtions, not to mention a million people touch them. We went to an inside flea market that was air conditioned, and a women was selling birds. My hubby was intrigued, and really wanted one. I said "no way". Those birds were touched, and tormented by every little kid that went by, as well as adults. If I purchase an animal I want to know the owner keeps them as safe as possible.

i still want to cry when i think about it and she thought ice packs was a great idea and i was like how about u lay on a ice pack and she rolled her eyes at me i was like whatever. But she did everything i told her to do and she was really scared i was going to get her in trouble. we are going agian saturday and i am going to see what she has done..i will tell u all what happend:thumbdown
