Harness vests: do you like velcro or buckle? It just seems to me that the buckle in the front by the neck could be hard on their throat, but then again how easily can they break the velcro away. Just wondering which was the best to get for my babies? |
Harness Hi Heather, I was searching online myself and just ordered a Puppia Harness for my 8 mo. old, Kiki. I think this is one of the more comfortable harnesses for small breeds and slips over the neck with a buckle under the stomach. I was a little hesitant ordering a harness with velcro thinking it might not be strong enough. Hopefully this one will work for us. Anna http://www.dogster.com/dogs/511397 |

I dont have the buckle one. I have one with snaps and love it. The problem with the velcro is their hair sticks to it and pulls on them which hurts. I mostly have velcro harnesses though |
Puppia Harness Heather, I ordered the Puppia harness through BowsaWowsa.com. I've never ordered throught his company but the price was only $19.99 (plus 5.95 s/h). I can't wait for it to arrive to test it out on our walks ... hopefully the size will be right). Anna |

Does the velcro actually hold in place when your dogs are pulling or running? I am so scared the velcro would come undone. I did see some really cute harnesses from G.W. Little. |
I have Velcro, but I always worry they'll just pull it loose. |

I just bought the buddy belt, I really like it, two little arms holes and it buckle on top, does not hurt the neck or throat area. |
I would like to see the buddy belt. I wanted to add that I use velcro but also add a hook and eye just for added support. |
I've used the vests with velcro for many years. I like the clips/buckle better because of the long hair. |
I have puppia ones that snap/clip together, they clip further down on their back. No complaints about them. |
The only reason I don't like Velcro are for the occasions we strap them into their cars seats. I wouldn't trust Velcro to hold in an accident. |
