Don't you love it? When everywhere you go with your Yorkie people "oooohh and "aaahhhh". :D Seriously, people either stop me to meet Keeley and ask me all about him or I see them quietly saying to the people they are with "oh its a yorkie", or "look how little he is?" I have even had people stop their cars when we are outside to ask about him. We just left Keeleys second kindergarten class and before and after the class we had sooooo many oohs and ahhhs. Big men getting down on the floor to let him kiss them. I just think everyone loves yorkies. They are just so cute that they draw everyones attenttion. I love it! I can't even imagine the attention our little girlie yorkies when their hair is done and their bows are in. :yorkiesar |

My yorkie is a star in everyone's eyes! Oh yes! We LOVE it! Every time we take Sully out somewhere (we=my husband and I) all sorts of people come up to us just to "ooh" and "aah" over him. They just want to giggle and pet his little head! There's just something about yorkies that make them the cutest dogs on earth, really...and even for people who don't want to own one themselves, of course they still think they're adorable! How can you not!! The best thing is, in my husband and my opinion... that after our time out with everyone gooing over him, WE get to take him home! The Cuteness is all ours! And that makes the proudest mommy and daddy there is! (And trust me, my husband is just as thrilled about his "son" as I am!!!) |

Esme and I both love the attention too!!! People always ask a zillion questions about her. Esme wags her little tail and gets soooo excited when they touch her! Actually, the awful part is, that we are so used to people ooohing and aaaahing over her, it actually feels odd when we go somewhere and no one asks about her (it doesn't happen often, but it has... maybe twice... ;) ) |

This is sooo true...No matter where I go with her, people are always asking...Ew what kind of dog is???...Is that a yorkie?? Isnt she big for a yorkie??? I laugh at the too bigg one...Sammi is not very social, she turns her head...If i am holding she lays her head right on my shoulder... XoXoXoXo Fran and Sammi |

attention :D Hi meg you are so right I took my baby out yesterday and the amount of attention from women as well as men is amazing.Anyone with teenage sons out there tell them to forget about the flash cars to pick up girls tell them to get a yorkie :D (he he ) :) dianne :) |

I agree! It helps me too cause I'm shy so he's a conversation starter! The one thing that does bother me is when people just reach up and pet him without asking first. He's never met a stranger but that's not the point :animal-sm |

The attention is CRAZY!!! I take Chewy out a lot now and if it took me 10 minutes to get somewhere, it now takes half an hour because I have to stop every minute to talk to someone. My husband thinks it's nuts, he doesn't understand it. Everyone always says, oooh I want to get one. |

It is really funny to see the reactions of peoples when I walk with the little ones . |

The first time I took Tinkerbell out in public we went to a community fair. I literally had to go back out to my car to get her bag to put her in because we were not able to do anything! People would literally come stand in front of me and not let me go. I couldn't enjoy my family or look at anything. It was the first time I had ever had that happened. When I take my maltese out she gets attention, but never like when I had Tinkerbell. |

That's soo funny because we always get attention. Coco is so tiny that everyone always wants to know everything about her. I always tell people they are a lot of work, because as soon as they see one they want to get one. So I always make sure to say, the need A LOTTTT of attention and care. One time my boyfriend had to squeeze into a crowd of 12 people to get to me, when we were meeting for dinner. |

Actually it makes me quite uncomfortable. I tell you one thing though if I wasn't married my Katia would be helping to pick up a lot of women. But when I go to the pet store or the mailbox or for a walk and women stop me and talk to me about her and women in cars almost have accidents because they are awwwing and ooohing it makes me uncomfortable. |

I get asked if I have a cat in the pet travel bag. I unzip it and Mya poses....lol Everyone freaks out. Yes it is nice that Yorkies bring joy to everyone who sees them. Even the big burly tough men turn to mush !!!!! |

When I would walk Tyke I would get people saying something all the time. one time I was walking him and a cop pulled over just to give him a treat and pet him on the head :D (I live in a small town where NOTHING goes on) When I walk Bubba I'll walk him up to an elementary school by the house and we always pass this one house and this lady is ALWAYS outside and everytime I walk by she has to stop and play with Bubba :D When I go to PetSmart people always stop and pet him and coo at him (Bubba or Tyke). When I would drive with Tyke or am driving with Bubba I catch people pointing at the window to him or smiling at him or waving. But I do it too...if I see someone walking a dog I just have to ask the name of the dog and how old it is and pet them and talk to them (the dog that is :p ) |

Oh, yes, the attention. My kids hate it! It's gotten to the point that they don't want to take the dogs because we will get nothing accomplished! Mostly that's when we are going to the mall to shop. You can imagine when I am with my 2 older girls and we each have a yorkie, it is quite a scene. We have gotten pretty good at smiling and continuing to walk. If you stopped everytime someone wanted to see them we would never get very far! :p I actually like the favt that they make people smile. I am so tired of sour angry people who are all stressed out. It's a nice change when I have the dogs and brighten someone's day! :D |

I am a little shy & impatient so I get really embarrassed when people stop me to look at my dogs. I normally dont actually take them into stores because if I do I would never get out. And I am always in a hurry so that just doesnt work. But it is nice to have dogs that people "ooh & Ahh" over. |

I thought that the attention would die down as they got older (people are alwyas excited to see puppies!), but no! People LOVE Biddy and ask all kinds of questions about her. It's weird - the #1 question that people ask about my 2 dogs is - "Are they related?". Not "What kind are they?", "How old are they?", "Are they boys or girls?" - they always want to know if they are brother & sister or mother & son, etc. What's the #1 question that you all are asked about your Yorkies?? |

I got that in petsmart the other day..I told her no such thing as a teacup..then next question.."are you having him neutured"?..I say yes..and she asks well can he mate with my girl once before I spay her..."okay my jaw just dropped at that one"..and then after I say "NO"...she asks me "where she can find a dog to mate with her girl" (which she bought from a "petstore)..oh and what vet do I take Maximus to because she hasn't taken her yest (this puppy was like 11 months old and had only 2 sets of shots that it had come with from the petstore)...this woman had the dog for months and didn't think to take it to the vet yet?..and I was gonna let my baby get together with this dog???..at which point I tell her a. her girl is too small (only about 2 lbs.) to have babies and b. she should probably read up on puppy mills and exactly what goes on when you buy from a petstore and C. MOST IMPORTANTLY ...take that dog to the vet...especially that it came from a petstore..I gave her my vets #..told her to spay the girl immediately because I think she should be coming into her first heat soon.. |

Oh my gosh! The sad thing is that this woman has no idea she is doing anything wrong. She thinks because she loves her dog and feeds her everyday, then she's a good pet owner. Ignorance is really scary. |

#1 question.. Is that a Yorkie? #2 - She's so little, will she stay that way? #3 - Where did you get her? #4 - How much did you pay for her? I have to say, if you own a Yorkie you will never be bored.. Just go for a walk and you'll be having plenty of conversations. |

It's so true. My heart swells with pride when Maggie is the center of attention. When we go shopping, I always try to have Maggie looking her very best. Color coordinated outfits including bows, collar and leash. She is one crowd stopper. I have yet to see a gender or age that didn't stop and want to touch her. I'm just happy that she is so friendly, and loves everybody. I only hopes she keeps that friendly attitude when she gets older. |
