Omg I Had To Rush Peeka To The Vet!!! Pics AND A WARNING INSIDE!! 4 Attachment(s) OMG i had the worst scare today with Peeka! I had just gotten up and come downstairs i took Peeka and Daisy out to potty and came back in. i was checking in on YT and Daisy was running around and Peeka was chewing on his new bully stick i bought. I had bought these new ones they are in the shape of a circle i thought they would be safer and last longer.... well..... i was soooooo wrong!! i hear this gagging noise so i turn to see what was going on and to my surprise Peeka had gotten the ring in his mouth and flipped it over the back of his head:eek: I freaked out thinking it was strangaling him i was so scared! I took another look and seen it was gagging him because it was stil in his mouth! I called my vet and they told me to rush him in. Peeka was so scared i thought he was going to have a heart attack on the way there. I got to the vet and they took me right back they took Peeka in the back and they were telling me they might have to put him out under anesthesia to remove it:eek: :( I was a mess by this point. After about 10 minutes the vet assistant comes back in and said they had got it off but just barely they had to use bolt cutters and they almost didn't work. They checked his mouth for cuts and also for broken teeth but he had none thank goodness. I had rushed him there really fast lol. It cost $80.00 OMG Geeze! :thumbdown  We are back home and i have to watch him for pain and general stuff but omg talk about a scare! I am posting pics of it and also a warning for all PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE FOR YOUR BABIES ... I am also writing the company so they can put a warning on the label or change the design i don't want this to happen to anyone else. pic# 1. Wow! Thank god for your quick thinking! In all honesty I would probably have started crying, not great in panicky situations! Good thing Peeka is okay. I will remember NEVER to buy those things. I have seen them at stores already and thought about getting them before... no more!!:thumbdown |

How scary. I\'m so glad he\'s okay |

OMG...THAT is scary!! Poor Peeka! :( Thank goodness you were there with him. I know some people leave bully sticks with their dogs when they\'re gone to keep them occupied. I shudder to think if he\'d been alone with it for a couple of hours. Be sure to write the company about that product, so they can pull them off the shelves! Also, I\'d send them a copy of your vets bill along with the pictures and ask for them to reimburse it. They should. |

I had bought one of those for Conner. He was fine with it, but I will not be buying those anymore. |
