Urrr... my hubby left a tooth pick out So, as i was typing on here i heard lexi chewing on something I walked over and she has a toothpick hanging out of her mouth. I promply took it away from her, My husband tends to leave them all over. Which bothers me, bc i am so afraid lexi will get ahold of them. I have told him time after time, but somehow he still doesn't listen...he is like the puppy sometimes, selective listening. ha ha |
Ahh! I feel like you're writing my life story!! My boyfriend is contantly leaving toothpicks out! First of all, that's disgusting. No one wants to look at or pick up the nasty instument that he used to pick old food out of his teeth. Secondly, they're dangerous for the dogs! Biddy has gotten a hold of them more than once. But, I have to admit - it looked hilarious when she had it sticking out of her mouth!!! |
Frustrated I share your frustration, but somewhat differently. The thorn in my side is popsicle sticks. My kids are always leaving them somewhere instead of throwing them away and my two little yorkies love them. I am always taking them away. Now they see me coming and the run off and I have to chase them all over the house to get it out of their mouths!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! |
HMMMMMM...My boyfriend is a slob also..but he doesn't leave toothpicks around because Maximus makes homemade ones...lol..from my very expensive bedroom set, my bathroom vanity and last but not least my moulding found around the house..lol.. I am constantly finding little chips of wood and I get VERY nervous he will choke one day....don't you love the "teething" stage |
Have you told him it is dangerous. If she swallow a piece of the toothpick it may poke into the stomach and cause internal damage and has to be surgically repaired. If the thought of possibly causing the dog harm doesn't get him I hope the thought of a LARGE vet bill will. Tell him think $1000 plus in vet bill. |
