Need some yorkie advice I am bringing my babies to my new apartment that will be CARPETED. Blah. They have been in a hardwood floor home and they always LOVE to pee/poop on my rugs that I have around. Does anyone have carpets or experience with this and have some tips for me to avoid ruining my carpets over this? They are 5 months old and are almost completely paper-trained, but their accidents and love for going on my rugs have me very worried. Thanks for any advice. |
I would be too..... I would be worried too. A big change for pups. If you have throw rugs that have the water proof backings, that would be great to train them on those. Also, if they're paper trained, u could always use those puppy pads that you can get at pet stores because those have water proof backings too. Good luck and keep us posted on how your babies do with the move. |
You could lay pee pee pads everywhere (on the carpet) if they are to be at home alone. I believe someone did use that as a training tool, and when they peed on one pad, that pad would be removed, and so on, until there was only one pad remaining... |
