I could use some pity! This is three days cleaning up after Zowie! I feel so bad for her, I know she feels puny, but I am exhausted from cleaning up after her. She went to the vet, who told me not to give her ANY food for 24 hours, then she has 4 cans of prescription diet food to settle her stomach. She hopes Zoe will be better in 2 days, or we go back friday. I dread going to bed - what a mess I have been getting up to the past three mornings. EEK! |
Oh Boy...A PITY PARTY! I love those. I am so sorry for your poor little mommy !! and for you the maid! |
Thanks Kim! You're a real pal :D |
I feel with you - dealing with the fact that your little pearl is sick AND cleaning up the mess takes it's toll on everyone. Go do something nice for you - get a massage! |

Having picked up a carrier bag full of poop from Mollie dog this morning anything a yorkie does seems very small in comparison ;) :D |
Oh Laura! I feel for you! When Simon was a puppy he was sick for 3 months and all I did was clean up. It is exhausting but it will all be worth it when she is feeling better! I promise! Hang in there..... |

OK, I am sorry for you, too. :p |
I hope your baby has gotten IT out of her system. I made a really BIG mistake a few weeks ago. I gave Maggie some mesquite smoked brisket. It was like a stinky shooting fountain. I couldn't run to the door fast enough. I for sure learned my lesson on that one. Those big brown eyes only get a wink out of me now. |
I'm sorry your baby isn't feeling well. I hope she get better soon. You are a good mommy & maid. :) |
I went through it with Zack a week ago. It was just a 12 hour thing and he's all better now. I was so exhausted from cleaning up so much. He even pooped under my bed! And what a coincidence, on the same day the UPS delivered a small steam cleaner I ordered from drugstore.com. It's made by Bissell and called the Little Green Compact Multi-Purpose Cleaner. It was a lifesaver and perfect for getting the pet stains off the carpet. I think you can buy it at Target, Sears, Lowes and Petco. Check it out at www.Bissell.com. |
Laura I hope you get a break soon. Take a nice relaxing bath, paint you're nails, or give yourself a face mask. Something to pick you up. Hang in there. |
I am lucky to have hard floor all downstairs! I'm still scrubbing grout from while I was gone. Hubby did wipe up mess, but it is less visible in grout, and harder to clean out. It still leaves that smell, though. Zowie seems so much better today, talking and begging for food. I gave her 2 tbl of new food from vet, but she just runs to the kitchen every time I stand up. |
Hi Laura, I didn't know you were having a problem! I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm still not real sure what's going on just from this thread....except the obvious. Are the puppies ok? I had to be gone a lot yesterday and will be leaving soon today....Hope to hear some better news when I check back tonight. In the meantime, sending you tons of pity and wishing your girl wellness! Julz - That's all it is? She has not passed anything solid since Friday! Until this morning, 1/2 way there. Babies are great! She is feeding them fine. They are starting to walk around. When she goes into the cage, it looks like the night of the living dead...the babies stand up and walk towards her slowly kinda wobbling back and forth. It is cracking me up. :lol tears They are really getting cute, and they lick me when I pick them up. How are you and pups, love the new pics! |
Oh Laura! I didn't mean to make light of your dilemna last night.I was "in a mood" and I knew you would appreciate it. You have such a great sense of humor! I am gld things are better today and yes, those little "helpers" around the house in the form of Husband and children can sometimes, unitentionally, make the matter worse. :rose: |
I can identify, if it makes you feel any better, I had to deal with the aftermath of my 85 lb lab who ate 10 bags of Halloween chocolate candies. YUCK! |

I just went through this with Esme. I had three days of constant CLEANING! She had NO CONTROL and there was watery poo all over the floor. TOTAL NIGHTMARE. The vet actually had me stop feeding her for 12 hours and then he put her on a diet of burnt toast, white rice, and a hardboiled egg all mushed together. She loved this meal and ended up eating it for two days and it really helped get her tummy back to normal. GOOD LUCK and trust me I can relate!!!! |
I went through the same thing last summer when we left Biddy for a week. She was so sick when we got back - she pooped all over our bed!! I came home from vacation and had to go out and get new sheets!! Plus, I felt so guilty because it was my fault that she was so sick. I hope your baby feels better soon! |
That is what our vet did, took her off ALL food for 24 hours, gave me 4 cans of Hill's prescription diet (said sorta like chicken soup). Kim - I knew you were kidding - Me too, a little. I seldom take anything in a negative way, even if it were meant that way (i'm sorta slow that way). :D :p :o :wavey: :thumbs up  :kiss2wm: :jump28ib: :teethysmi I love these icons |
Laura-My little cousins was having problems like this abouta month ago. She went to the doctor and nothing was wrong with her like fever, stomach virus etc. He told us to give her lots of rice and have a drink the water that is left when you boil the rice. It has some sugars or something in it that will get things solid again, lol. Maybe try giving her just plain white rice then water? Oh and it worked like magic!! |
Thanks KP! I think what the vet gave me might be like chicken and rice. Zowie is doing much better today, no messes inside-all day! |
