I think you should get a girl!! It is great having one of each and usually when you get the opposite sex they get along so much better. |
I sincerely believe that males make better pets. My boy is so full of sweetness and if trained properly they don't pee anymore than females pee on the carpet that are not trained properly. Then you still have your excuse someday to get a girl!!!! See how that works!! Best of luck with your choice! |
I think you should get a girl so you have one of each. It is my girl who is sweet and cuddly |
I have one of each, and I'd have to say Piper has a better disposition then Penny. Yet Penny is still a pup, and may grow up to be a calm collected little lady. We'll see. I do like the fact that I can dress Penny all up, and I would do the same for Piper, but there's not that many boys fashions. |
I say get one of each and then you don't have to decide between the two!! Whatever you decide I know you will enjoy having a new baby in your home. |
I chose a boy (first time dog owner, first time yorkie!) mainly because (and I hate to say this....but...) I'm 21, and boys are cheaper than females, and when I asked the breeder what her preference was she said her boys tended to be more sweet/loving and easier to train (*i'm not saying all, just her experience*) so I bought my boy. Now I wonder if a girl would have been different....:D I just keep telling myself "he's only 13 weeks...puppy stage...it'll pass... " . . .lol No matter which gender you choose you'll love him or her tons. Good luck! |

Higgins chose us! I wanted a female. Really wanted a female. Went to a breeder who had two pups, a male and a female. The little girl wasn't the least bit interested in us. But that cute little boy was all over us. Kept running right after us and wanting to be picked up. Well, I mean, what could we do? And he's that perfect little kid! |
I'm so glad to read that you're ready for another puppy! I have my little boy, and I definitely wanted a boy first. I do love male dogs. My new one, little Gracie is a girl. I wanted one of each. I also didn't want another male marking - that was not fun! But, in the end, I just wanted one of each. Good luck with your choice. You'll be happy with either. Judy |
I have both and love it ! My Boy has never peed on anything other then his pee pad, when we go for walks Rosi actually pees twice as much as Apollo. Good luck in choosing !;) |
Boy! Boy! Boy! Go for a little brother! I must say that I am biased though because I love having my little boy and soon his brother will come home to us (Right now he's too young and he's still with the breeder).;) Have fun choosing! |
Boys Rule! Artie is 3 1/2 yrs. old, Abigail is 2 1/2 yrs. old and Tiffany Aloha is their baby girl @ almost 4 lbs. and 1 yr. old. The male is very loving, affectionate, Learns everything very fast, he understands; English, Japanese and Filipino. He Surfs, swims and will float around on an air mattress in the middle of no where for hours as long as he is with me! My females on the other hand look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language every time I ask them to do any thing? They seem distant, moody and aloof. Sometimes even stuck-up? Males tend to bond better with Women, and Females seem to do better with Men! They all have different Personalities but males seem to want to please you more and my females who seem to just want you to please them? Good Luck deciding? |
My first was a boy (I didn't pick) He had been sick and I was caring for him then he became mine. I loved Duke with all my heart, but he did mark everything. I was hoping he'd grow out of that. When I lost Duke at 11 months old in June. I wanted another puppy. I thought I wanted a girl so I would not "Compare" the new puppy to Duke. But I was offered a boy, Gizmo, and I couldn't refuse him. He is alot different then Duke, NO COMPARING THEM" He is healthly and active. Then a month later, I was offered a girl, Duke's younger sister, so Lacie joined our family. She is timid and shy but not because she's a girl, because she was in a kennel for 5 months of life. They are all different. If you can get both a girl and boy - GREAT go for it. IF NOT....then go and see them, and see who you fall in love with and don't look underneath until after you chose. That way you are picking a puppy....not a boy or girl. Good luck either way. |
I have a boy and a girl, and my girl is starting to get to the point of where they play togethor, and they are just adorable!! I reccommend a boy and girl, thats just me:) Good luck finding the right baby! |
Ah, I sure like the way you think . . . :p  I have a boy and a girl and I must say if hubby will allow me to get another one it will definitely be a girl :) My boy is still NOT house trained but I am happy he is in a Belly Band . . He is a super duper huge chewer too (a home wrecker  ) and super hiper  My girl is the total opposite but I love them both dearly :) I just think having a girl is more fun especially when it comes to dressing them up :) Whatever you decide I am sure it will be fine  |
