I'd say someone was a little confused because she doesnt resemble a maltese at all.

People are ignorant. I wouldn't pay any attention to what some snotty nose 9 year old had to say. She couldn't look anymore like a Yorkie if she tried.

Just because a child is observant and engaging you in a conversation that is against what you know is right, doesn't make them rude or a brat. As long as they aren't being rude, thy are simply sharing the world through their eyes which is a very unique view and one we lose as we grow old and set in our ways and opinions.

You don't think 9 year olds lie??? Plenty of under-12 year olds lie..

Anyways, she's the darkest maltese I've ever seen! LOL
