safe not sorry As you know Fisher Price has recall a lot of there toys because of lead paint. last night my Husband thought we should take all the rubber toys or any toys that have paint on them away from our dogs. he had notice that most of there toys are made in china and they chew on them, I don't know if there is a connection between the two or not but I am not taking any chances in them getting sick from these toys. |
That's probably not a bad idea. All of these problems suddenly...makes you wonder about the safety of some imported products. |
I don't blame you for tossing toys out....Lead is a very potent poison, so it's best to be safe than sorry... I've posted this before on her but in case you missed it Good Morning America ran a segment on lead in garden hoses...they leach HUGE amounts of lead in the water even if you let it run for a minute....if the hose is not marked "safe for drinking" , don't ever fill your dogs outside bowl from it or let your kids drink from it...just an fyi...:) |
Safe toys Good idea! I dont think i have any with paint on them but I bet a few come from China! For those of you that make fleece blanket.....when you cut off your scraps i tie them all togetehr and the dogs go at em! The fleece is made in the USA!!!!! :o) |
Now I don't know what to do. Ellie's favorite toy is a squeaky, green ball. It was made in China and if I take it away she won't be happy. She also has a yellow one but I'm not sure where it was made.:( |
I did that a long time ago... I REFUSE to buy any type of dog toy, dog food or dog treat that is made in China. Unfortunately, that rule knocks out a lot of stuff :( ...but better to be safe than sorry! (oh and the $1 store stuff for pets, you know some thing isn't right with that stuff :thumbdown ) |
