who gets professional teeth cleanings? Those of you who get your doggies teeth cleaned regularly, how much do you pay? I'm talking about those kind that they put your dog completely under (gen anesthesia)....do you have a full blood panel done? I am, since she is going under. And lastly, how often do you notice this needs to be done on your little one? Thank you! Vixxen goes tomorrow for her first cleaning this way and I'm scared! She has been to those that advertise "no anesthia" but that is not doing the trick...she has bloody gums and a possible absess! |
When I had Starr, she got hers done once a year, it cost around $350:eek:. Now that I use Petzlife on my girls teeth, they won't EVER need a dental cleaning:thumbup: I recommend that you start with it after her cleaning, to keep the tartar away, so you won't ever have to deal with it again. |

Try using Petzlife after the cleaning. Cleaning in this area runs around $400.00 which is alot of money for anyone. I have been using Petzlife (2x weeky) along with brusing Buddy's teeth daily and at 3 1/2 his teeth are sparkling white. Hopefully he will not have to ever have a professional cleaning. Try it after this cleaning, you won't be sorry. |

who gets professional teeth cleanings? Gracie is having her teeth cleaned on the 22nd of this month. She usually gets it once a year (although she had her first at 3 years old). I have tried and tried to brush her teeth but she stubbornly refuses to let me get that brush anywhere inside her mouth! I believe the cost, with full blood panel, runs around $325. |
i havent had codys done but the vet said it would be 83.00 |
My cats have theirs done about every 3 years. The vet requires blood work prior to anesthesia and that is included. I think it is about $200. I usually wait until they run their 10% off special. |

My vet is about 100 and that is with extractions. |
I live in NJ and my vet who is more on the expensive side charged me about $200 without extractions. Just cleaning. Now, when Newman broke his tooth on a chew bone, it was around $300 ish with the work to the tooth. And, then I'll confuse you a little more with another price; We had Newman's teeth cleaned when he was under for a tumor removal and the cost was only $65 because he was already under for another procedure. I usually start the teeth cleaning around two years old and I have it done after that every one to two years. Newman seems to only get a year then has to be done again, where my Bella is three years old and she's just getting it done next month for the first time. It all depends on the dog and I think the older they are requires more frequent cleaning. At least that's what I"m finding. Elaine |
i have chubby going in to do dental work this morning and he's is about $200 without extractions and he needs his two puppy canine teeth extracted and i get a 15% off on that, for both tooth is about less then $150 and i have a insurance plan i put them on and i only pay for chubby $31 a month and that includes vaccinations, office services, dentistry, examinations, hospitalization, lab test service... today would of cost me under $575 but i only have to pay for the extraction which is under $150 www.banfield.net |
