Pictures: Puppy Cut with a Topknot? Wobies' coat is getting really long and strangly. And since its cottony on his body, its almost completely unmanageable. Time for a haircut. :( So we're going today or tomorrow for his first grooming. We're going to Petco, only because my boyfriend's friend works there and I trust her to take care of my baby. She even requested that I stay with him to keep him calm, and so that she can get approval for every snip! I want to cut the hair on his body pretty short, but leave the hair on his head and face longer. The hair on his face is so nice and thick and silky, I couldn't cut it...plus, I love putting his hair up in a ponytail! ;) Does anyone have pictures of this style? Not so much for the groomer, but more for me to figure out what I want. I'm guessing it would be like a puppycut, but with a topknot, right? |

I don't have a picture, but I just tell the groomer to cut her short, and leave the top of her head alone so I can put it in a top knot. If you want the ears cleaned up you need to tell them that or they just figure if you say don't touch the head you mean the whole head. |
That is kind of what I have been doing with Lulu...look at my avatar...not sure if you can really see it. She is short on the body and I leave her head alone so I can work on giving her a topknot (which she is like houdini and gets off in the blink of an eye). |

She is a massive tomboy that resists all efforts of grooming on my part. She has a somewhat cottony coat so I just decided it's best to keep her body short especially being summer. I will let it grow a bit longer come the winter but the only thing staying long on her will be her head. My husband says she looks like a lion because I haven't touched her head. |
I can't wait to see your baby in that cut:) I was thinking of doing the same thing with Izzy and Luna. My groomer now cuts the hair around their eyes,but in a week or two it's sticking right into their poor little eyeballs:( So I'm thinking of growing it out and just keeping their bodies short. |

About the haircut, my senior Spanky had and adorable puppy cut on Monday. I actually had them cut bangs on her instead of the topknot. She looks super cute; the coat is about 1.5 inches all the way around her body, with fluffy legs - she looks like a little girl again. I might just cut bangs on Mango as well, the little rascal will not keep her topknot in for more than a few hours at a time. :animal36 Hugs, Lauren |

Her tail has like a feather effect hanging the cut is some what like irsh setter look some groomers call it a Daisy cut..
