Growth How many weeks does the puppies start to slow down on growth? My lil one had a HUGE spurt in a month and a half. She was 1.2 at 10 weeks, now she is 2.2 at 16. I heard that the pups are about 60% of the thier size at 16 weeks is this correct? (She could be 20 pounds, I could care less, I just need to quit buying dog carries that wont fit her lol):aimeeyork |
The growth rate varies greatly among pups. Some are finished growing by 6-8 months, while the biggest majority may grow until around 18 months. Others may grow until around two years. Surely you aren't concerned about your tiny pup gaining much weight, because I don't believe there is a very big chance of that. I've never seen those pictures. Thanks for sharing. No matter what size your baby becomes remember the bigger they are the more there is to love. |
wow at 3 weeks the puppies look as big as the mother...keke |
There's a growth chart in the stickys at the beginning of the General Discussion forum (this forum). It's the 6th thread down from the top. (I know what you mean about carriers - I still have the one I bought for a 4 pounder who turned out to be an 8 pounder). |
