If it ends up being the drainage from her eyes causing the problem, the first time you have her teeth done ask the vet to irrigate the naso-lacrimal ducts..they are the wee holes in the nose corner of the eye that drains eye liquids into the nose. I have my dogs tested with the dye the vet uses to check for eye/corneal injuries.. If there is no signs of the dye coming out the nose(it is put in the eye and flushed and checked with a special light) then we know we have problems with those ducts..Don't know if this helps..

I'm just a crazy mommy. The vet said it was one of two things or both... 1. he's teething and sometimes that causes extra drooling and halatosis but since it's more around his eyes/nose it's probably 2) just eye secretions...which he doesn't have a lot of... but I guess I just have a super sensitive nose because she didn't really smell anything nor did the tech. They didn't suspect infection so I'm just going to clean his eye goobers twice a day instead of once and see if that helps.

Glad to hear he checked out and there is nothing to worry about ;)

One time I crated Missy for about 2 hours while I stepped out when I came home her face smelled sooo bad! I thought something was wrong I couldnt imagine how she got so stinky in just 2 hours, I finally figured it out, she some how released her anal glands and cleaned herself up :eek: so gross!

The smell washed away with a good bath and hasnt happened since, maybe that happend to your little guy. Give him a wash and see if it comes back again. If it does it must be the breath and eye goobers LOL

Missy'sMom, I rarely go YUCK! but when you splained that smell, I used up one of my yucks! I have only had 1 dog in all the years that had a problem 1 time..man, oh, man!! I wasn't even in the room with the vet but it smelled up about half of the exam rooms..I had a dog whose gas would clear a room, however..LOL

LOL! I know what you mean! :eek: When I came home and my pretty little girl's face smelled like it I didnt even want to hold her, poor thing I did hold her and washed her up but I thought for sure something dead had got into the crate and rolled around with her :confused:.. but nope it was her anal glands :thumbdown
